I am absolutely determined to get a six pack within the following two weeks.
    #10976989 - 09/01/09 12:46 AM (14 years, 6 months ago)

what the title says. :yesnod: I'm 5'8", 130 pounds (up from my formerly benzo addicted 5'7" and ~105lbs) and i am actually pretty fit. the only problem is i want a fucking six pack before i move to school at ucsb. i will go to any lengths to achieve this goal. i am going to work on it all day every day, except for when i'm out hiking/biking/drumming. other than those things i must get a six pack. there is no option. and yes i mean six pack abs, not a six pack of beer, i am fine on that front. however i am going to be abstaining from all alcohol and any unhealthy drugs, in fact i am only going to use psychedelics and only on occasion. i am quitting cigarettes for this purpose too, they may make you lose weight but they make exercising oh so difficult for me.

i'm going to be doing all kinds of crunches and sit ups and things of this nature. also i will continue to do my endurance/cardio regimen which has been working pretty good so far.

oh and i am going to be changing my diet, but i don't know what to change it to. i have been eating protein-rich foods and this has helped me gain strength but i want a GODDAMN SIX PACK and this has not happened yet.

so if anyone has any suggestions, post em here. (for both exercises and what to do with my diet)

Do 50 sit ups when you wake up, then 50 before you go to bed. Lol not a very good routine but it got me a weakly defined 6 pack back in 8th grade lol.

I've no idea how you're gonna pull this off in 2 weeks but good luck!

Lots of crunches, bicycle crunches, leg lifts, and hand stand pushups.

The hand stand pushups wont help your abs, but they'll make you feel like a total badass.

A good way to train is to put on a long song, and do as many repetitions of the exercise as fast as possible (with proper technique) without stopping till the song is over.

LOL. No I'm not black. It took me about 2 months. What does help though is holding a weight against your chest as you're doing them. Also this is what I did. Normal sit up, then sit up and turn to the right so your left elbow goes past your right knee, then vice versa for the other side. I don't even remember how it helps but it's what my friend's mom, who was a body builder, suggested.

Don't just do sit ups though. Doing too many each day will really throw out your back after a while.

This is what I've been doing sets of lately, and it really fuckin crunches your abs good.  I don't have a six pack after a few weeks, but I don't always go all out on abs, and I'm eating a shit ton cause I'm trying to add weight (and not doing too shabby).

All my abs stuff requires something you can lock your feet into and have your body from your ass up hanging off.

If I'm really hitting it hard I'll do 2 sets of each of the following in a given day:

50 Count twist with 12 pound medicine ball, each side counts as one

10 reps of 4 count sit ups with a 45lb weight
--1) Straight situp
--2) Dip to the left
--3) Dip to the right
--4) Straight again
...the above counts as one rep, do ten of em

Then I usually hold a 45 or 100lb weight (pbbly start out with the 45, especially as you're going for tone) to one side with your arm hanging almost limp and just crunch to the opposite side like 15-20 times on each side.

If you do that every day for 2 weeks with a few days for rest and a shit ton of protein I bet you'll have it down.  Especially if you do that routine twice or three times per day towards the end.

Diets gonna be important too.  Stay away from fatty foods, and probably shoot for a little less calories in intake than you'll burn in a given day.  I'm by no means a nutritionist but I would suggest not eating  more than 2500 calories in a day that you work out and no more than 2000 calories on an off day.  Stick to lots of lean meat based proteins and complex carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables.  Milk is great, too, but stick to skim if you want a six pack real quick.
