Myco Bag Pinning???

I have two myco bags going - One has the EQ starin, and is doing quite lovely. However, I was wondering about the light cycle for initiating pinning. Someone had said 18 hours of hard light?

My second question concerns my second bag. I started it at the same time as the EQ's, but this strain is the Puerto Ricans....it seems to be taking forever to innoculate - any info? I see some Mycelium(sp) but it seems to be spreading so slow....do I give up?

1. Ive heard the best is a 12/12 cycle. Doesnt have to be hard light..just ambient light will work.

2. Not all mycelium work at the same speed. Dont give up on it. Try massaging the substrate with ur hands gently to move things around. Dont pack it down though. Good luck!

3 hours of indirect light a day is good. Over ten hours is too much and you risk cooking the mycelium.

i know of those who have used 6 hrs of light from just a 15 watt florecent light like what comes with an aquarium.

Alright. I am going to put it in 12 hours light to get the pinners to start. After that, I will put it in maybe four hours a day. How long till I have fruits?

10 hours too much? I thought the general consensus was 12/12 cycle? Besides, if you are using flourescent, there's no way to cook the myc....
