Tea as a bulk sub additive.

I'm talking about actually using the tea leaves in the bags to add as part of a bulk sub.

Anyone ever tried this?

Apparently nobody has tried this, so let me rephrase my question.

Do you think adding tea leaves would be beneficial at all? Let me know what you think, anything at all.

I dont know the Ph level of tea leaves (prob should find that out) but the more nutes the better IMO.:thumbup:

Ive seen some use grass clippings and other yard waste.:shrug:

I guess I should test its pH, but that can always be fixed.  I would imagine they are similar to coffee grounds. They would be safe to add as long as they have been used.

Going to try and test this somehow in my next mono.  Maybe a brick of coir, 2 qts coffee grounds, 4 qts tea , maybe some verm, cup or two of gypsum.

Probably will want to add a decent amount of tea leaves to see what their effects may be, if any.

Right before I saw this post yesterday.  I didn't have any brewed coffee so I ripped aoart a tea bag and put it in some cakes.  Do not know what is going to happen, but I guess I will soon find out.

Were the tea leaves spent, or did you use them straight from the box?

Let me know how it turns out for you.  As i said earlier, i plan on trying to use spent tea leaves in a mono or decent sized tray.

Spent leaves then dried it was into some quick BRF cakes I did.  I did some with coffee the same day also I guess I will see whats good.
