To whoever wrote that post about having magnetic hands, I would like to share a little of my experince with you. I am not sure if I expereince the same thing as you, so I will explain. To me it feels like when I bring my hands together it feels like you are bringing two magnets together with the same poles facing each other, and so the hands repel each other. If you get that going, and you feel the energy inbetween your hands, you can spread the hands a little, and it will feel like you are holding a rod of energy. If your feeling of it is really strong, you can spread your hands as far as they go, and still you will feel a solid rod of force beween them. If there is someone else who is somewhat sensitive to this, you can place your hands above theirs and again the same will come, but sometimes depending on the person you might feel a strong or a weak force, and sometimes it will be cold or warm. If you like I will share more about this with you...

I wouldn't say MAGNETIC....maybe someone else can verify this...but i think it's kinetic energy you are referring to. *shrug* 

I CAN , however, relate....i feel similar things as well. AND... I cannot wear watches either. Never have been able to. Digitals go out within minutes of me putting them on.....blinking and spazzin. And regular watches RAPIDLY speed up. I even tried one of those silly necklace watches, BUT NO!! No watches for me :frown:


Anyone else have this happen??

Many times I will get shocked when touching metallic objects after doing some pranamaya (sp?) type meditations. I usually center the energy around my heart area. If someone wanted to test me I am sure I could scientifically validate that I can make any area of my body change temperature. :smile:

Anyone got a heat-sensing device? I'm serious.  :wink:

I have felt the same sensation. It happened while i was concentrating on forcing my internal (psychic,chi,whatever) energy out thru my hands while my hands were facing each other. I started with my hands pressed together and moved them slowly apart while focusing on pushing out the energy.

i learned how to dance in a liquid style by teaching myself to tap into this energy field one can concentrate between your hands.

hey i posted about the magnet hands.

its defintely not chi, jing, reiki, psi (? maybe, i'm not a real expert on it yet), shen, ki, kundalini

but thanks, i'll try out that exercise, do you know what this magnetic energy is good for? i tried affecting stuff and physically speaking i couldn't do anything to objects (i haven't tried THAT much though) i can get my test subject to feel it, but i they don't know what affect its having.

ive done the same thing, it feels like there is a zero zone between your fingers or a neutral plain. as if there were some dimension between your fingers. i think this has more to do with a balance of energy, possibly static energy? your hands are like clouds building up a static charge to make a lightning bolt? maybe?

i do believe in chi and who not and chakras and whatwhere. but i've always thought the whole hand thing was body temp.
you can change body temp tho....
its mind over body. close yer eyes. think of a lemon. think of how sour that sucker is. yer body prolly reacted by making a sour "taste" in yer mouth, and makin yer cheeks pucker. weird shit. works for most people.

and the watch thing happens to me, too... they dont stop working, but speed up instantly... any watch on my arm will be 2 or 3 minutes ahead its original time in a few days... i have to basically reset them every week...

This "magnetic hands" phenomena has nothing to do with magnetic fields, it's energy, and it's called psi.

This same energy can feel like a multitude of things, as it varies person to person.

As for some of you non believers in energy and the "paranormal" I refer you to psipog.net I have personally learned to do telekinesis in less than 2 weeks... yes REAL TELEKINESIS..

I have heard about that, too, where they would test the gurus, and they did record temperature changes.

With the hand thing, I could feel it. I think it matters how much focus and how slowly you put your hands together..

Is changing your body temperature really something worthy of a Swami challenge? I didn't think that was very controversial. I can quite easily make my penis or my face warmer by mind control. I can also change my pulse rate. Since both blood vessels and the heart muscle are directly influenced by signals from the nervous system there is nothing strange going on even if you're a hardcore Skinner-type positivist.

For the most part, I was joking. It still is quite the mind power, though, compared to the mind capacity of most people.
Myself, I want to see people be able to regenerate limbs. It's always nice when you can do that.

holy crap! swami, remeber how you said you were going to pay mad money to have someone heal you? ravinoff is my brother and it just so happens i can do some minor telekinesis too.

what would you be willing to pay if i drove to where you live (was it las vegas?) and demonstrated it to you?

i can make a pinwheel spin. and i can do it in such a way that its real obviously not my breathing/ect any other factors.


edit: alot of poeple say, well if you can do it, why don't you go demonstrate it to s skeptic organization and get money. the answer is the only big skeptic organization that i know of is the james randi foundation, which according to some other psychic poeple i know
a) turns down applications
b) during the preliminary phase if the person can do as they say they are not allowed to do the final testing
c) on at least one instance he's been caught falsifying data.

other than james randi i'm just lazy.

What did you do to rule out your breathing as the cause?

What did you do to rule out resonance effects from subconscious muscle movements as the cause?

I hear lots of people who are able to spin paper wheels. If there is a genuine effect that can't be explained by contemporary science, it should be possible to find at least one non-lazy person who is willing to contact a university researcher for further investigation.

I would be willing to "pay" an even money bet for any amount up to $20,000 for a demonstration. Judges would be culled from locals such as university professors or from a balanced group of shroomerites.

BTW there is NO SUCH THING as minor telekinesis. The tiniest bit of movement would be a major breakthrough.

Why not save your money and a trip and do THIS first. Get a live PC camera. Put the pinwheel underneath a gallon jar and do your stuff for a shroomery audience. While this can be faked with some effort, it would certainly be a first step.

Convince me and I will help you to claim Randi's $1,000,000.

Swami, will do, but it will take some time... Spinning the pinwheel under containers is quite a bit harder for some reason(perhaps because you're subconcious mind is seeing the container as impermeable).

Rhizoid, it's possible to spin the pinwheel in a completely draft free room, and with your head turned... or for that matter being 5 feet away from the pinwheel...

As for the subconcious muscle movements, as I said before I can perform this from a distance... if you would like, I can show you a video of me doing it(not under a container though, I'm working on it).

Or maybe because the effect, whatever it is, works by pushing around air molecules. Perhaps there is some air effect that is not caused by breathing, and that can influence only the thermal motion of molecules, but nothing else?

Specific experiments could be designed to test such an idea.

This is how I think these types of things should be researched.

the only technique that seems to work is the zen techinque. totally empty your mind and DON"T try and do it and someday it'll just start spinning, then you can work on it.

Probably not. It appears that developing these abilities takes a lot of time, effort, and mental discipline, and the resultant skills aren't usually all that useful. Further, it appears to take a bit of time and effort before you can produce convincing results.

Thus, most people will have no interest whatsoever. Even if they did hear about psionics and decided to try it, they would probably give up before they developed the ability to do anything notable.

if you hang out in the psipog chatroom you'll find that the US government has all sorts of crazy experiments, plus they apperntly have many of the super-psionicists.
government psionists can do shit so crazy it would blow your mind. i don't know the story but one of the poeple who contribute to psipog has altered her genetics or something, like i said she's only mentioned it once in passing and has not yet felt like eleborting.
she fucking goes through things on accident. one of her friends had problems with accidently TELEPORTING.

I do this "magnetic hands" thing when i'm mediating sometimes and I use it like this.

I'll feel the field of energy between my hands and then think of that energy as symbolic of some situation in my life. Then the energy becomes that situation. I keep turning my hands around in circles over and over concentrating on the energy field. I keep adding positive energy to the energy field which makes it stronger and stronger. I feel that when I deal with the situation in the future, i'm better equipt to handle it because I now own and use this much more positive energy field.

Also I did this "magnetic hands" thing on mushrooms once and had the energy field so strong that I couldn't touch my hands together when I tried even though they were only a couple inches apart.

This one time on mush I had an energy field so strong it was interferring with the FM Radio station reception.. I could make it pulsate which caused the radio station to go louder and quieter, louder and quieter...

I look back in disbelief, but I remember what I felt when it happened, and am forever changed because of it.

I can make it move too, easily, if I face it and don't obstruct the movement of air. When I place it inside a container the movements disappear completely. So I am totally convinced that the movements are caused by air moving from me to the pinwheel.

I went to psi pog and read for 3 hours. I was wondering about the relationship between psi emotion relating to energy, and the emotional fluxuations, and energy one notices while under the influence of ethnobotanicals....

The webmaster peebrain, didn't even know what an ethnobotanical was, and after explainint it, warned me about talking of drugs, and made an ignorant comment of "dog shit occurs naturally in nature also, but you don't see me eating it"

I was not impressed.

Edit: i wonder if thats the kind of ignorance i'll be faced with talking about psi...
But his ignorance aside, im going to read some more and practice...

Swami, would showing up at your place of residence and spinning the pinwheel from a significant distance away not be acceptable(in concerns to your bet)

Various and random drugs have severely hindered, and in some cases, completely diminished the ability to perform these amazing feats that they teach there

Im used to it....and he american, so it stands to reason, his judgement would be skewed some...

I bet justas many drugs enhance this ability rather than harm it. i can see how alcohal could negatively effect it, but cannabis would help me control my thoughts. Its interesting, and i was reading about an experimental drug which suppposedly enhanced telepathic abilities...or coincidences if you don't believe in telepathy.

I talked to a couple of people on there that claim they can spin the pinwheel under glass. They say it's much harder tho for some reason.

Oh.. I want to add that the fact that I tested the wind theory myself to see it that was what was happening and it's really hard to get the pinwheel to spin just by blowing on it or whatever. If you blow on it or at it or whatever it just tends to rock on the needle. Try it out for yourself..

My g/f and i were theorising about how if you take a plastic comb and rub it to your head, you could make the paper move some with the static....mabye it has something to do with that....mabye not...

Sure you if you blow on it sideways just right it'll spin sideways. But we're not doing that.

Now I would believe the static idea. That would explain why it works well when you place your fingers near it.

Besides I never claimed it was "psi". I just said that I did what the excercises recommended and there was a result.

Well its good not to dismiss things when you don't know shit about it....and never read about it,...or experimented with it....or really have no idea what your talking about other than repeating stereotypical norms such as psi power being non-existant when you have no clue....

anyways, i just wanted to add that like ravinoff said they're very anti drug because in 99.9% of all the cases they've encountered drugs (including psychedelics) have harmed psychic ability. most drug induced psychic abilities are completely random and uncontrollable.
that being said my own belief is that when the drugs scramble your brain they mess up the natural stops your have in your mind.

also i have on occassion spun the pinwheel under glass.

also, make a pinwheel and watch it for 3 minutes and you'll be able to tell the differnce bettween wind blowing it and tk moving it.

its awesome to see some poeple from the shroomery finally get interested! it pains me to see all these openminded poeple lagging behind in the metaphysical revolution.
