does it exist? or am i going to have to buy a multitrack and some reverb/delay FX and experiment for myself?
i know and love the classics, tubby, mad proff, scratch, scientist, hudson etc.. but i want something darker. i'll even listen to digidub if it's moody enough
anyways, any recommendations you guys may have would be great.

Ott - Blumenkraft is a nice dub album, but you most likely already know it
you inspired me, maybe I'll make you a dark dub track

You must checkout Slackbaba!!!
Album is called And the Beat Goes OM.
Also checkout:
Ott Phutureprimitive Vibronics (more Reggae Dub, but still dark) Sub Oslo (ALbum is called Dubs in the Key of Life)
Really checkout Slackbaba though, my favorite album of the year, in any genre.

I heard Lustmord did a dub project for Maynard Jmes Keenan's Puscifer or something...don't really care for Puscifer so... Also JAh Wobble from P.I.L or was it P.I.L. themselves? made a Dub Album called Metal or sum shit...I forget...
But yeah I just checked out slackbaba and I don't consider that melancholy or dark at all...the bpm is way too fast...and it just feels too I dunno something. Positive I guess. Ott sounds light also...maybe I'm thinking of something different than you guys are. Or am not hearing the same songs most likely.
Anyways I'm also looking for some DARK instrumental dub without all the silly-ass'd singing, chanting and stuff.
Something slow and droney and trippy. But with that dub groove down in it.
Some of The Orb's stuff al-l-l-most gets there... but not quite.
Check back later.

Sandoz is kindof dark, but more angsty than brooding.
I'm interested to hear what you turn-up.

Some of the Bill Laswell stuff would please you guys looking for dark/moody dub.
You might also like some stuff by Alpha and Omega.
Also, there is Twilight Circus Dub Sound system, Dub Gabriel, some Massive Attack ( especially Mezzanine ), some stuff by Smith and Mighty and french band Zenzile are all suggestions that you might like.
