millet in filter patch bags

i plan on adding about 4 quarts (maybe more) of white millet and some milo to a filter patch bag and sterilize. My question is how do i go about the process? Should i let the birdseed simmer in a pot before sterilization? Should i just let it soak in water for a certain amount of time? Also, should i sterilize for the same amount of time and psi that i would if I was using the same amount in jars? I have read of people having problems with to much water content in the bags so i would like to avoid this so I am considering adding about a cup or 2 of vermiculite to the bag for absorbtion.
this is my first time working with bulk substrate and i hope it goes well......any info. is appreciated.

the more experience you have with it the better feel you'll have. soak overnight, no simmer. rinse and drain. if it looks too wet you can add verm or coir to soak up some of the excess water, but a simple rinse and drain will give you water content you can work with. don't allow too much evaporation during incubation. that's it!

your getting an attitude cause you didn't get an answer within 45 minutes? No wonder nobody wants to help you. As for the soak/simmer, that's an openion question. Just make sure the bag dosn't block the vent valve.
