Ive been handling active mushrooms for two years. Ive handled a couple pounds of Pan Cyans and cubes at one time.I touched them while they were wet and dripping with moisture. Ive never felt any effects. To be honest, I doubt you can get high by touching them.

hmmm.. this is interesting. I wonder.. fresh mushrooms have a very distinct smell, and cubes smell very distinct from other mushrooms. I wonder if it has something to do with airborne rather than touching, as dry shrooms tend to be less aromatic.
Or maybe it is a mental association. Just as a certain smell can trigger certain feelings depending on an associated event (i.e., your girlfriend dumped you in a flower shop, so the smell of flowers make you depressed). I wonder if the smell of mushrooms makes your brain start remembering your trip or something. I think this would make the most sense.

Why not smear some fresh fruits on your pulse points(wrist, temple, neck)?
I would imagine that would do the trick if it as viable through skin.
A friend of mine had a similar experiance but I'd assume it's psychological, or a spiritual bond.

Excipients that don't get caught in your skins lipid layer and will carry the stuff with it. Straight shot transdermal

over the last 15 hrs i have been harvesting, dunking and cleaning my tubs. when i dunk i peal away the plastic and look for side fruits and pins, then with my finger nail i scrape away the substrate. I have had a wonderful day. My mood is better than normal, objects and colors seem more vivid, and everything is more interesting. this could all be a coincidence or chemical osmosis at work. who knows.
p.s. my girlfriend hasnt been totaly bicthtastic in the last 2 days. that might be why as well

So a cream or lotion would be formulated depending on the quantities of expedients used.

I first handled many fresh cubes 10 years ago and I always felt slightly different just from smelling them. This subtle shift of perception also seemed to get stronger the more experience I had after having a psychedelic experience with them. This leads me to suspect that it is mostly a placebo or possibly a sort Pavlovian response to the odor but I've always suspected some level of active transfer via physical contact. Or maybe it is just an adrenal reaction to the excitement and anticipation.

Hmm, Was your skin open anywhere when you handled then. Maybe your hands were raw or something like that?

Well I didn't have any cuts. I did however spend a long day out in the sun and didn't wear any sunscreen on my hands or arms and they were a little sunburned. And no, I didn't chew my fingernails.

You are not an idiot. Check this from page 195 of A WORLDWIDE GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION OF THE NEUROTROPIC FUNGI, AN ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION by GASTÓN GUZMÁN, JOHN W. ALLEN & JOCHEN GARTZ, 2000.
Link to PDF: http://www.museocivico.rovereto.tn.it/UploadDocs/104_art09-Guzman%20&%20C.pdf
Quote:
It seems that psilocybin and psilocin are volatiles, as Guzmán observed while exploring Oaxaca (Mexico) looking for neurotropic fungi in 1958. He experienced colored hallucinations although he had not consumed any fungi. This occurred one night when he was trying to sleep in a small closed-door room of an Indian home, which was filled with a large collection of fresh or semifermented neurotropic specimens of a mixture of Psilocybe spp. (P.caerulescens, P. cordispora, P. cubensis, P. mexicana and P. zapotecorum), that he had gathered with the help of local Indians. These mushrooms were kept in sacs and had been collected for commercial purposes. The air of the room was heavy with a strong acrid aroma of the fungi to which his prolonged exposure resulted in the hallucinations that he experienced. When he came out of the room tobreathe fresh air, the hallucinations stopped
