I enjoy apple cider from a local farm, it's the most delicious drink I've ever had (maybe)

It's so easy to make your own, give it a shot. CaptnGarden used to have a great wine making tek in the Culinary Arts, Gardening, Brewing forum which can be applied to cider as well.

I like Strongbow, but just one.. maybe two. Any more, and I start getting sugar headaches.
I like Big Rock Cider too, but it's a local cider.

i'm intrested in this definetly, though i can see the final product ending up like 16% and tasting like strongbow with too much alcohol in it. :P

I'm from England Yorkshire to be exact, magners and bulmers are lovely yeah! I pretty much drink strongbow for the cheapness and strength, though now i have decided to expand my horizons.
*edit- strongbow is better than white lightning :P i don't know if anyone outside Britain will know this brand.

Just go to a brew shop and ask them for a yeast that only gets up to 5 or 6 percent instead of a wine yeast.

You can pick your own apples and make a cider but I would just get some high quality unfiltered apple juice from a farmers market or natural foods store. Something with just pure apples and water. You can add the sugar and yeast as you go along. You'll figure it out if you read online a little bit.
