Smoking weed With Asthma?

I'm 32. Recently I have been developing mild to moderate asthmatic symptoms. It sucks ass to say the least. I just recently gave up weed. It's been about a week. I am/was a heavy cannabis user. I miss it greatly. The only reason I quit is because I hate this asthma shit. I tried Advair and Albuterol for a couple weeks and I hate that shit too. So I quit taking the Advair and Inhaler and stopped smoking bud in hopes this shit will stop. I work around plants in a nursery so maybe that's the cause.
Long story short... Are there any other Tokers out there that have asthma? I have never had asthma before now. Will a vaporizer help? Should I just give it up for good and eat shit tons of mescaline and LSD and shrooms?
Please help!!! I miss my precious bud.

ive read somewhere marijuana can actually help getting more air into your lungs. i'l try to find a source.
How have you been experiencing smoking since you got it? do you smoke pure?

I'm all for legal weed, and medical weed. But smoking anything is not going to "help get more air into your lungs"

weed is a bronchial dialator, it opens your airways. Tobacco does the opposite.

He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein

Clinical research shows that THC acts as a bronchial dilator, clearing blocked air passageways and allowing free breathing.[2], [3] In one study, marijuana, “caused an immediate reversal of exercise-induced asthma and hyperinflation.”[4] Numerous cases of asthma have been treated successfully with both natural and synthetic THC.

to bored to find better studies. Although i dont want to make a standpoint about anything, i thought i should bring it up.

I've heard of some herbs which can help expand your throat passages, but I don't recall exactly what they are. Also a quick Google search pulled up http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-the-best-remedy-for-asthma-herbal-medicines

Yes I kept smoking weed when these symptoms began. After 2 months I thought... hmmm maybe I should give it a rest. I have read about weed helping dilate your bronchial tubes... and it helps me breathe immediately... but an hour or 2 later... it seems to make it worse.
I quit smoking cigarettes 2 years ago... now I cant breathe... Ironic huh?
Maybe a vaporizer would do the trick? I don't really like eating bud... it's just not the same high.
Also, I won't take those inhaled steroids like Advair.. or the chemical bronchial dilators... they seem to do far more damage than good. You become addicted to them mentally and physically. Fuck doctors.

Yeah, no. I have had asthma since my early thirties and have been smoking the whole time. I just use the anabolic steroid (fluticasone propionate) Flovent and that helped out a lot to help strengthen my lungs for a while so that I didn't have to use the Albuterol at all eventually. You are only supposed to use that stuff (Albuterol) in emergency situations anyway. I found out that what was aggravating my asthma was allergies, get control of the allergies get control over the asthma. Plus I also read somewhere, that THC can help the with asthma by helping the lungs process the oxigen better by increasing the blood flow or something. Google it if you must, but smoke and head of any kind is going to irritate the lining of the bronchial passages. I'd vaporize for sure. I don't because I'm a gorilla smoker and they are kind of big to use covertly but would totally for my lungs long term health.
Go back to Maryjane son, she misses you too.

Interesting. Care to elaborate?
I have read it has to do with calcium and Magnesium deficiencies. I have started taking some supplements for this. Vitamin C in large doses is also said to work wonders.
I would appreciate any other info you guys might have. I really took "Breathing" for granted it seems.

no problem
Vaporizing is worth a try, although you need alot more marijuana to achieve the same effects as smoking a joint. I can fully imagine howmuh this must suck for you, being a daily smoker myself.

source 1
Asthma is the shortness of breath and wheezing caused by spasms of the bronchial tubes, overproduction of mucus, and swelling of the mucous membranes.
source 2:
asthma is a chronic disease involving the air passageways of the lungs—the bronchial tubes. This disease causes the bronchial tubes to be overly sensitive to many different things;

Nah i thought asthma was the swelling of the esophagus or something, or the throat closing or something of that nature. Didn't know it had everything thing to do with bronchial passage.

I have had asthma since I was born. I've smoked weed almost everyday for the past 6 years. I use 2 Inhalers, advair and an albuterol inhaler for emergencies. the advair keeps everything at bay, but i haven't had it for a few months now (insurance bs) and i can say that my asthma really isn't much worse. it's noticeably different, and reacts more to smoking (i don't smoke stupid tobacco as it aggravates my asthma like nothing else) but overall it's not so bad. I've been meaning to go to my doctor to try and start taking some of the pills i've seen on the market for asthma, i wonder how well it would work. my point is, inhalers work very well, and just because you "hate that shit" doesn't mean it isn't a very good idea to get your shit under control. it's only going to get worse unless you start to try and control it using some type of long term treatment such as advair or one of the steroidal pills. don't stop smoking if you like it, but don't do it excessively without some type of medicine unless you enjoy not being able to breath properly. Good luck.
