How long are jars good for after sterilization and have not inoculate them yet?

what are the BRF or WBS or other?  BRF about a month but don't recommend it and WBS i have never done more than 2 weeks. I'm sure they may be able to go longer just letting you know what I have used successfully

its best to inoculate them soon after sterilization, that way any possible contaminants don't get a head start on the mycelium.

i wouldn't wait more than a few days.

My statistical assumption is that chemical tapering should begin when the rate of visiting ODD exceeds the rate of visiting Pub, or any other Shroomery forum.

Once I figured I'd leave the jars for a few days, and it took less than a week after sterilization before I had jars FULL of mold.  Hugely full.

So I'll never leave my jars any longer than 24 hours ever again.

Nah, if the BRF jars are properly sterilized you can put foil over the lids and store them in the fridge for a week or two.  I have done this with success more than once.

It is better to inoculate much sooner, of course, but sometimes you have to wait.

Thats a sign of incomplete sterilisation. Even if you had inoculated, by the time you had seen the start of colinisation youw ould have had mould aswell.

Sterlisation give syou a window of opportunity. With grain jars its usualt 2-3 weeks. BRF does harbour nasty bacterial endospores so may last a little longer.

It is always best to use them as soon as they are ready.
