What could it be?

Ok i found a mushroom that looks like a oyster. its yellow with some brown its pretty big the gills are yelow orange... it was under a big decaying tree there was some dead ones above it. it was growin on the ground about 2 feet away. just wondering if its worth getting at the time i couldnt get it. ill get it if you guys think anything of it tho, is it a good edible? i wanna eat a good oyster.

Well this has braught alot to my attention. it dosent look like that the gills are ALOT bigger and more gradiant. it looks like panellus serotinus.  the gills look the same.  it was frost bitten when i found it so it prolly wasnt growing and the cap wasnt stick cause it was frozen but im not sure. ill go get it to make this clear. i wanna eat :laugh:
