I waited till this part to dismiss you as an asshole. You're a total fucking asshole... prepare to lose a friend and the girlfriend when you break up in a few months. You don't deserve to have him as a friend anyways...

My advice, either step back and wait for the girl to break up and come after you.... or talk to your buddy. Either way, you're a total self absorbed prick of a "friend"

My best friend tried to get me to have sex with his girlfriend. But no, I wouldn't steal her from him, I'd never do that to a friend.

I say if you feel this strongly about here then go for it. Friends come and go, but you only find your soul mate once in life.

I would never ever have considered doing this before. I've dated a lot of girls, and I have been dating a lot of girls till I met this one. I'm planning on waiting for them to break up.  If she was just some hot chick, I'd forget about it. But I've never had a connection with woman like this before, I cant justify just letting it go. I have no idea when something like this will come along again.

And if she leaves me down the road fine, then maybe I was a prick.  But if I marry this girl, then it'll all be worthwhile.  I've had friends do this to me before, and I got over it and forgave them eventually.

And does it really make me a prick if this girl realized I'm the better match for her and came to me rather than staying with a guy she realized isn't good for her? just to keep from hurting his feelings.

hahahaha, OP is in the friendzone.  Whenver a bitch tells you you are are her soulmate, she's not speaking sex-mate.

Welcome to the zone, brah.

Go for it, but definetly wait for them to split on their own.

Don't be fooled. I hooked up with my friend's girlfriend a couple months after they broke up and I lost the friendship over it. Now after a year being in the relationship I am leaving her because guess what, the whole soul mate story just doesn't hold up over time. Say it to yourself when you've been with a girl for over 25 years, yes then you may just be meant for each other, but don't confuse attraction with love man. You can attract thousands of other girls out there. Let this one go if you want to keep your friendship. Otherwise dive in and learn for yourself. :peace:

Don't mean to be so direct but I'm speaking from life experience.

All I have to say is, I've seen this happen, and the results look bad, because in the end, the girl left, and the friends never became friends again.

If your willing to risk losing friendship and the 'soul-mate'

then go for it, who knows, maybe your friend ends up being cool with it and the girl really is your 'soul-mate'

but I wouldn't risk it, since I value friendship as one of the most important things in life.

I hear ya man, you make a good point. And I have been dating a ton lately and I haven't been able to find anyone that I have this level of attraction and chemistry with.  I'm certain there are other girls as good as her out there, the problem is finding them.  Its been many years since I've felt anything like this and I date a lot.  This doesn't happen often, thats the only reason I'm willing to risk hurting a friendship over it.

If she had actually realized you were the one she would have ended it with your friend and went for you.

As of right now you two are just kind of going behind your friends back and betraying him, yes- that makes you a prick. Think if you were in your friends position...

Ok hear me out before you dismiss me as a complete asshole.  I've known my friend for about ten years, hanging out on and off every few years. We've been hanging out a lot for the last few months.  Anyway, I just met his girlfriend about a month ago and we all went camping together with some other friends, during which I got to know her really well and we developed quite a connection.

This girl and I are so similar, we get along so well that its almost like she's a female version of me.  The bond between her and I is already stronger than the one between myself and all my other friends who I've known for years.  Her and I have been hanging out alone a lot lately, I took her to the movies, we sat out under the stars watching a meteor shower and chatting, we went out to a bar and shot pool and ate pizza.

We really enjoy eachother's company and its becoming clear that her and I make a much better couple than her and my friend.  I'm also quite a bit more attractive than him, I have more personality, I have a much better body, and I'm a talented guitarist (she hasn't seen me perform yet, but I have a feeling shes going to like me even more when she does).

She goes around saying things like "I've decided that *Boneman's real name* is my favorite person ever!"  and she texts me all the time talking about how I'm her favorite, and everyone loves me, stuff like "I cant believe we've gotten so close so fast".  And other times she'll text me shit like "I'm being so lazyy todayy" or  "I'm soo boredd", stuff that suggests she wants to hang out, and stuff that I figure she should be saying to her boyfriend, not her boyfriend's friend.

We have so much fun together, and theres a significant amount of sexual tension..that I can feel anyway, but I can't imagine that she doesn't feel it too.  Theres no way she hasn't noticed that we're perfect for eachother.  I just don't know the protocol for these situations.  I don't want to make a move while she's still technically in a relationship with my friend.  But then again, I don't know if shes just going to break up with him without knowing how I feel first.. then again again today she texted me "I knoww you <33 me hehe.."  I just don't know if shes being super friendly though.

I don't want to lose my friend over this, but if I believed in soul mates, I'd say this girl is my soul mate.  Theres no way I can just let this one go because I don't want my friend to get mad at me.  I could see myself with this girl for a very long time, and since I've become close with her I've lost all interest in all the other girls I was dating.  I'm falling in love with her and I can't control it at all. In the beginning I promised myself I wouldn't get a crush on her, but I couldn't help it.  We clicked instantly, and we had instant chemistry. Shes adorably cute, so pretty, and sexy as hell. Which is rare, most girls are just one of those things. Shes all three.  I want her so bad, and I think she might want me too, but I don't know what the fuck to do about it.

You sound like a terrible person.
