injecting bleach into contaminated jar

so everyone says if you have a contaminated jar, that you should throw the whole jar.
if you injected bleach into the jar and let it sit overnight, surely it would be safe to open the jar pour the contaminated goods out, and salvage the jar?

You can pressure cook it again then take it outside and dump it out then clean the jar very well.

Yes but you would still have to sterilize the jar and the syringe before using again but, then again you'd have to anyways. I think you have a good Idea.

you said it mister.
i don't see why this wouldn't work, but would like some other opinions as well.

oh, and i tried this earlier tonight.
i had a jar that i accidentally left in the pressure cooker for like a month. i took it out the other day, and within a few days, it started to turn green.
tonight, i injected 10ml of bleach in, and now there is no green where the bleach has been.
the bad thing is, i won't know if this is sufficient just by testing it myself.
i need some input from a trusted cultivator.

Bleach doesn't kill mold. It will only remove the color from the green spores. The mold will still survive. If you want to save the jars, PC or at least boil in a large pot for an hour or two. RR

Soap and water. If the jar has mold inside, it's best to boil it for an hour before dumping the substrate out. This kills the mold spores and prevents them from spreading. Once you dump the moldy substrate out, simply wash the jar with soap and water and re-use. You'll be sterilizing it again before next use anyway, once you've reloaded it with fresh substrate. RR

Bleach wont kill molds on porous surfaces, and is marginally effective against a few molds on non-porous surfaces.
