On probation for pills charge. Not that it matters. But. I was wondering if i could call my PO and just ask for jailtime instead. I still have like 1 and a half years left. If I can do that... Would the jailtime be shorter? I just want to be done with this legal shit! I may not have got any fines, but i owe almost 2 grand for 6 pills.

Actually ive had several employees who had the same line of thinking as you, but generally its an option they pick from inside jail while serving a sentence. I have seen people turn down release + probationary period and instead favor doing jail time (for half as long as the probationary period, 1 yr probation = 6 mo's jail)and then upon release being free of all restraints.
Im not sure if it could work the way you speak of, but it seems like a possibility. You may be doing it in a backwards order, hopefully somewhere here can better answer your question. I understand exactly what you're talking about.

SO you are looking to get your probation revoked and do jail time instead corret?
A. If there are any stipulations about you having to complete probation successfully and you revoke your self the stipulations will come back and bite you in the ass.
B. The time you get in jail does not go by how long you have left on paper. It goes by the maximum and minimum time given for your crime. EX: Here a Misd. A is punishble up to 9 months so you usually get 1/3 so 90 days. But the process takes for ever so there is no huber if that is offered for quite some time.
C. I have asked for jail time instead of probation. And the judge gave me a nasty look at gave me more time in jail then I had on paper. They figure if you cant do probation you are up to no good and dont belong on the street.
D. Also, depending on your state if you go to prison which if you have over 1 year you will go to. You get out on paroll for a 1 year minimum. Plus, 3 months on house arrest after you get out.
E. It is seriously better just to tough out the rest of the time. Because, in the end you can use your PO as a reference for jobs and they can vouch saying that "you are a rehabilitated citizen" Because now more than ever it is a bitch trying to get a job with a record...
Oh yah: you probably wont be able to get off of probation until you pay those fines back.... And even if you go to jail you still have to pay back the moeny.... Idk good luck I have 1 year left Ive done about 2 years. And I am sincerly sick of it....!

Don't you - by any chance - have an option for early termination? That option is usually given as long as you meet the state's requirements, and pay your fines.
