Outdoor Strain Temp Question

Hello All! First time poster, long time reader, 2 year inside grower. Ive decided to start an outdoor patch and I have some general questions about what strain would thrive in my area concerning the temp. In the heart of winter we get a temperature range of 30-70 and in the summer we get 60-95. If anyone has any thoughts I'd love to hear 'em! Also im torn between using a woodchip method or the manure pile. Id love to hear any advice some experienced people have to give.

i hear all cubes are about the same as far as temp goes, idunno about the wood humpers.. i just started one the other day but around here youll sweat your ass off on christmas day :grin:

Well, Im going to start 48 PF Cakes here in a week or so and I just wanted to see if there was a particular type that would give me better flushes. Im going to use the outdoor cultivating method listed in the FAQ [Moe Tek] and will probably just use the old P. Cubensis strain I have been using indoors. I live in the North Bay Area, Ca. [Wine country] The weather is pretty fair, regular rain, and mushrooms grow naturally all over the place this time of the year. I may post a log with pics in the log forum because there doesn't seem to be much info on outdoor cultivation. Im very curious to see what the resulting product will be over the next several months. I am still looking for advice and will check back regularly. Thanks to everyone, and this thanksgiving Im sure thankful for this site!
