I've heard of christmas lights being used successfully, but I've never done it myself.

well I've pf tek says you should wait for invitro pinning for better yields. I don't want to do the neglect tek but maybe just start them. What kind of lights do you use? If it's a fluorescent, how close does it have to be, because I have a fluerescent light in my house but it's on the ceiling.?

Not that much light AT ALL is needed to initiate pinning. Flourescent seems to be the most commonly used. I'm pretty sure your christmas lights would work though, as I've seen many grow logs that utilize them. You may want to check out the grow log forum and search for "christmas lights", or something along that line.

A fluerescent light on the ceiling will work just fine.
