Exceeding Ideal Past. temps. with dung

I just did a bunch of dung on the weekend, but ran into a small snag part way through the pasteurization. I intended to turn on the element next to the one i was cooking the poo on, but istead i accidentally cranked the poop on high. I quickly realized this fact and added cold water to bring the temp. back down. Unfortunately, the temp. exceeded 185f for about 1 minute. I spawned the poop anyway with my oyster spawn and we shall see what happens. I know this would have been detrimental had i been pasteurizing straw, but given dung's resistance to contams should this pose a problem?
As a side note, i have been experiencing extreme cramps and bad shits, i haven't pooped out any blood yet but the timeline and symptoms suggest and e. coli infection. Has this topic been discussed at all? given the likelihood of e. coli contamination in cow dung, i think more caution should be excercised by the mycological community in the handling of unpasteurized animal refuse, especially bovine. E. coli is potentially life threatening, and proper care should be taken to avoid exposure. play safe! eat cooked poop only

The slight rise in temps while pasteurizing shouldn't pose to much of a problem, don't worry about it. Sorry to hear about your bad shits, although I must admit, I had to laugh, hehehe.

Yeah its funny, i know, but E. Coli is pretty serious. Im not worried, but i think it should be more of a concern for us dung cultivators. i didn't get any sleep last night because of cramps and constant shitting. This is not pretty. from now on, im wearing a mask and im doing everything outside. Thanks for the reply,
