I find the taste of LSD to be quite distinct and now familiar. The taste itself does not present itself in the mouth but rather the olfactory area as well the the mid and lower sinus. Its not exactly bitter, in fact its quite incomparable to anything else, but it does have a metallic, somewhat lush taste that lingers throughout my trips. It is more prevalent with liquid LSD than with paper blotters, yet it is very present on both.

And I know for a fact that I was ingesting was LSD. Why are you so bent on wanting quantitative data on this topic though?

I agree
There definitely is a taste to it, at least in the case of blotters.
Every time I have dosed blotter paper there is a distinct taste that lasts throughout the entire trip.
It's almost metallic as most people suggest and is quite bitter.
I don't find the taste very enjoyable and I have no idea if it's any different with liquid LSD, I have heard mixed opinions about that

You can't, and that brings up a good point. Nobody knows unless they've sent some of their stash to a testing facility.

My problem with the LSD time chart is... I've taken acid at least 40 times I think, probably more. And it has never lasted less than twelve hours, except at very low doses. Actually it always seems to last longer. Maybe 14-16. Maybe I just get into the zone and stay there for ever. Maybe its because I smoke so much pot towards the end. Maybe it's sleep deprivation. Or maybe I don't know LSD as well as I think, and I've been eating a ton of RCs. But I've had higher dose trips last for easily 16 hours. With after effects the next day that are definite, not unpleasant but very present. I feel pretty confident that a lot of those trips were the real thing but what do I know.

I had some of the bittet blotter recently and it was pretty good. The only thing I didnt understand is it lasted about 20 hpurs can someone give me some ideas as to why it lasted so long....visuals were fantastic, was hearing stuff...it was definitly intense....tnks

From what I've heard is there is some plateau to your intensity and the more you take just increases the duration of your peak and trip.

From my experience LSD doesn't have such a bitter taste, but its more of a tingly sensation that is slightly metallic. But it's nothing compared to the bitterness of RC's.

Anyone taking acid or looking for acid needs to get a test kit period. We all know the current market for lsd is flooded with rc's so we need to just accept it and buy the Damn kits. I'm going to get some and test the blotters I have before I take them.

I've had some tabs that had a slight taste, don't know if metallic is the word for it, but they were never bitter. Most of it though has been tasteless, where the blotter paper doesn't even seem to have a taste.. and when that's the case it always seemed to be the cleanest of lsd with total acid euphoria and the most beautiful colors. I certainly can tell differences in the high from tab to tab over the years.

I've never had it last more than eight hrs though, maybe ten at most. Some residual effects will still linger, but IME I feel true lsd is really only a 6-8 trip with a moderate dose.

But I've never taken more than 2-3 hits or staggered my intake either.

I kinda disagree with that statement. It isn't consistent at all with my personal experience, which tells me that the rabbit hole is infinitely deep.

Yeah my trips usually only last about 8 or so hours...

I really hate this mantra: "all I can say is, know your source"

Well no shit.. but who can really do that? This is just a useless mantra repeated by numerous people that don't know jack shit.

It's akin to saying: "Know if she's got aids or not before you fuck her"

Nice sentiment, but who the fuck really knows for sure?

In the real world, if you could break out a swab kit and say "Baby, I can't wait to tap that ass.. but before I do, would you mind letting me swab your vag with this here kit?" It would kind of ruin the mood right? She'd get offended and you'd end up back at home jerkin off to "Who's the boss"

And likewise, if you're at a festival and someone whispers "doses!" in your ear, are you going to break out your lab kit and say (in your nerdiest voice) would you mind if we move over into the light so that I can test these blotters that you are attempting to distribute?
Might ruin the mood don't you think?

So can we stop with the whole "know your source" bullshit mantra? Please? You buy what you can, when you can.. and you find out later if it was legit or not. At least when it comes to psychedelics.

Just what I've heard but I don't really believe it.  I haven't reached my plateau yet and I've taken advertised 1,200 mics.
