For it to have been high humidity causing that many aborts it literally must have been 98/99 % humidity. Cubensis will fruit under such a wide variety of parameters and there are many more significant causes of poor yields or aborts than high humidity.
Spore match genetics (pf classic as example), low temps, high co2, low humidity, virus, direct misting are all more likely

If he was flooding it with the humidifyer, it's possible, plus here wouldn't be the slightly raised co2 which is supposed to help fruiting.
