Sorry but you are wrong. Half pint are the standard for brf cakes. All of the teks you read mention 1/2 pints.

For the OP.

Full pints will work but cause more problems. If you can get hold of half pints easily do so and use your pints for other things (liquid cultures, etc)

ok, so i just fucked up horribly....flame sterilized before the first jar and i guess i wasnt thinkin, i think it was the fumes of the spray and alcohol made me not think. but i forgot to sterilize between jars. i dont really care because i only made 3 to test it out. accidently put like 3 cc's in one jar. o well i guess you learn from your mistakes. hope it wasnt all a waste. im hoping to atleast get away with one good jar

I just finished my first grow (check out my thread about it!), and I remember a few weeks ago when I was in your position, and I would check them furiously, every day, many times a day. Now that you have some growth on it, leave 'em alone for a bit. I made myself so busy I almost forgot about the jars and didn't look at them for a few days, and then every time I came back, there was significant growth. Some people say that the shrooms know when you're watching, and won't do anything when you are. Maybe they're shy? :-o In any case, good luck and keep updating as it comes along!

yeah its so exciting, the other day i was like damn,.. STILL no mycelium. now im pretty happy i have some growth. i work all the time so that will be good to keep me busy and pass time until its time yeah i seen your thread, that's awesome how you used cups and paper towels. that really shows how easy it is to grow cubies. thanks for replying and ill keep ya updated!

its been a couple months since inoculation. going on 3 months with these big jars...hopefully they're potent and full cakes. i also grabbed some 4oz jars just to mess around with. will be updating soon!
