Bolete wouldn't be "bo-leet" it would probably be "bo-luh-tay" in Latin. The genus name, Boletus, is pronounced "bo-luh-tus."

As for Psilocybe, I have always pronounced it "sil-low-sigh-bay" but the ancient Romans would be saying something more like "sigh-low-sigh-bay."

Thanks to you guys. I did carry this around in my sig line until it got too heavy. Probably the best thing to do now is to bump it when appropriate. I suppose some people can shift their pronunciations easier than I can. I'm not talking about a case where someone says "Amaneeta" and I say "Amanita." In some cases the pronunciation is so far off I couldn't mimic it without confusing myself. Besides, I don't like to pick up another bad habit. I have enough of those already.
