What was the cop supposed to do? The little bitch didn't listen! Should he have tackled her, or perhaps hit her with his billy club? Nah, he was doing his job with the tool we have provided him to do it with. Granted it was a terrible shot, but who knows maybe she ducked or something....bottom line is when a guy shouts "Stop or I'm gonna TAZE YOU", you stop or you get tazed.

Long story short...he could have and should have tackled her a million times over before tasering her.
Even if little ol' me was the cop in this situation...do you have any fucking clue how easy it would be to simply GRAB her.
Maybe I shouldn't fear tasers, because I think I might live in one of the few states where police actually have some fucking balls. She could have been subdued so easily without being tasered it's fucking rediculous
I'm at a loss for words here. Your statement was absolutely retarded. You've got a point with the last sentence, but if a police officer says stop drinking that coffee or I'm gonna shoot, it doesn't make it right.

If he tackles her or grabs her arm he opens up the possibility for all sorts of things to go wrong. She could have easily gotten hurt in a physical scuffle. Tazers are usually harmless, a grown man tackling a 14 year old girl running at full speed sounds like a bad idea...plus then she might have continued to fight him, scratching and biting.
People on here are so quick to bash cops, but those guys have a difficult job. You try to capture a little 14 year old trailer park whore and then tell me how easy it is.

Maybe let her run? She hasn't committed a crime, she was there with her mother voluntarily. He didn't have an obligation to chase her down and tackle her, never mind tazer her.
As for this whole argument about cops, I have to agree with P2K1.
Sure you may be able to defend yourself in a lawless anarchy state, but there are lots of people who can't.
And you know what would happen if there were no cops? People would hire others to protect them, most likely local gangs. And viola, we have the equivalent of cops all over again. True anarchy is almost impossible, these power structures spring up naturally.

I would be looking for them. Police are shotty at best when it comes to solving real crimes. I would hire a private detective. What have i contributed to society? I served in the Marines for 4 years, and i pay my taxes. I would let the cops help, for once making them serve me and do their jobs for once like they say. Protect and serve. That's plain incorrect. The Tazer was NOT developed to replace a firearm. A Tazer was specifically adopted by police departments as a compliance tool. A firearm is used for deadly force, not compliance. The reason there is the misconception that the Tazer is a replacement for two reasons.

Also, it's in their department's policy to use Tazers. Every government entity has an accounting department, and the cold fact is the Tazer results in fewer liability cases than nightsticks and fighting. That's because the Tazer is safer than a fight, it's that simple.

I dont consider tackling NFC style fuck her up tackle. If he wasnt so out of shape which most are ironically, (actually not ironic because all the do is drive around on the gas we paid for) he could have ran after her and just grabbed her arm.
I dont see why he couldn't just put her in cuffs. Ive see people resisting arrest and the cops wins every time. Not because the cop is stronger necessarily but because bending someones arm backwards hurts.
