From the bottom of the tub, on the outside, the bottom of the 1" hole was 3 1/4". The middle was 3 3/4", and the top was 4 1/4". I have had people ask me, and didn't realize I added this in my post. My substrate was roughly 3", maybe a tad more. I have edited the first post to reflect this information.

Yes, 1" holes. I found they worked perfect. They allow more then enough air exchange, without losing humidity. I did not have to mist once, and I had a fan running 24/7 on low, 3 feet away from the tubs.

And yes, I haven't grown since and I got rid of all my supplies as well, to remove temptation. I have a child, and another one on the way.

Is the issue the legality of it or the time the hobby takes? If it's just the former, grow edibles perhaps for fun?

All of the above. I would rather not spend any time in jail away from my family, specially my children. I would rather not take the risk of my daughters getting into them.
I have enough anxiety as it is, to deal with the stress of worrying about all of that, including legality issues, it is just to much. When I pumped this grow out I barely slept.
I don't want to grow edibles because just having the stuff around I would end up growing some cubes or other species. It's just better all around for me to get rid of everything(As I've done).
I stick around to help the community, but that is all I have to do with mycology anymore. I have friends that have asked me to setup grows at their house, but I would rather not deal with that bullshit either.
