Contaminated BRF jar growing mushrooms. question

These pics are the same jar.  One side is pinning, one side is contam'd/  Anything I could do or is it a lost cause?  No big deal either way, I'm not lookin to get sick tho, thats for sure. Thanks all!

oh and the contam was around for about a week before these pins came up... I stuck it on a shelf in another room and kinda forgot about it and this is what i saw today.

When the mushroom mycelium runs up against a contaminant, it senses full colonization of the 'available' substrate and begins fruiting as a survival mechanism to spread its spores.  I wouldn't risk birthing that jar indoors for all the tea in china.  You can bury it into a manure pile outdoors and hope for the best or toss it.

definatly a lost cause.

I had a jar do that, It was contaminated with bacteria dn i had a small section of mycelium on 1 side of the jar, it started pinning too.

much better to ditch rather than spreading all those nasty spores everywhere.

i would pressure cook it and start over, you don't want to risk spreading those spores everywhere.

i have taken a contaminated fruiting jar and put in a zip lock bag with perlite to fruit, didn't eat but my friends liked them
