DETHKLOK Tour 2009
    #10844908 - 08/12/09 10:38 AM (14 years, 7 months ago)

Dethklok dethklok! I don't know if they're coming to your town or not but on October 11th, Dethklok, Mastodon, High on Fire and Converge will all be at the same venue!!

I dunno about you, but this is like the best line up for a concert I think since Tool and Isis in 2006. Though tickets are a little expensive, 47 bucks, this show is going to be SOOO much fun, maybe more fun than buckethead on the 27th! And WEEN in september! Get out there and get your tickets is all I really have to say.

Is "In the absence of truth" considered a "good" ISIS album?  If so, I gotta say their constant stream of 8 beat measures gets stale pretty quick.

A Dethklok concert sounds so awesome. I wouldn't mind going to a Tool concert someday, Rammstein would be sick too.

You didn't enjoy "Dulcinea"?

Wow...

Yeah, In The Absence of Truth is a good album. It's more "clean" than their older stuff though. (Which is also less linear measure-wise, even though it doesn't bother me -at all- personally)
If you're into heavy, get the SGNL>05 and The Red Sea EP's.

Ever since I heard of ISIS, a very select few people enjoy it. I guess its tough for me not to like ISIS because the first time I heard ISIS play was live with tool and I was on 7 grams psilocybin magic mushrooms. Dulcinea is the shit, I actually like their more ambient albums opposed to red sea or mosquito control, but ISIS is awesome. I tripped to Dulcinea once and I saw yellow and green architecture everywhere. It was epic, ISIS is one of those bands that cries out to be listened to while on a psychedelic plant. But, a little off topic XD

I heard metalocalypse is going to be 30 minute long episodes now !,,!

I mean, don't get me wrong, all ISIS is badass. Yes, I got wavering radiant like 3 weeks before it came out, and on April 8th I tripped mushrooms and listened to Stone to wake a Serpent, the only isis song I've heard off the new album, and I was completely blown away. It was like 2 in the morning out in the forest with the full moon out. Epic.

haha that sounds pretty amazing...
And yeah, all ISIS is great - I prefer the more ambient works as well.

Yea, I think all the bands are equally awesome, though I've seen Converge before which was fucking sick, but High on Fire and Mastodon will be utterly brutal, then Dethklok, its gonna be ridiculous.
