well if put the casing in the perlite theres too much humidity. Its going to be 90+%RH and you need like 85-92% for casings.  Since the casing layer is already moist and supplies the mycellium with water.  If you did a dry casing layer you might have botched that casing :frown:

i didnt do a dry casing layer

I just setup a clothes closet from wal mart and am thinking of putting my cooler with perlite/pf-cake/air pump into the bottom of it and putting my casings up higher it the closet to help with temp and a little added humidity with out messing it up and giving them too much rh..
If there is to much RH in there for the casings how will i know??

well i think i was off before. 95% is good just until pins hit then u need 85-92% if humidity i stoo high the casing layer will get overran with mycellium and u will get overlay :frown:

Well those pics i posted in another thread is the casing im talking about...
It was over run with myc. 12 hours after i cased it lol.... but everybody said it looks good and should be pinning sooner then i think but like i said is been 7 days now and nothing...

I just change the water in my bowl for the air pump everyday with hot sterile water and run the pump and thats my humidity plus the pelite in the cooler in the bottom for the cake and the casings also give of its own humidity

It should be fine. I use a rubbermaid container with a half inch of perlite and am also running a cool mist humidifier. My casings do great. No overlay. Forgot to say I also mist the casings .

Sounds like too much moisture, using a humidifer, a casing and misting? You really should be able to get away with just using one of those methods.
