cuba is gonna run out of toilet paper by the end of the year

now you may think i'm joking but its true. saw it on the news yesterday. they are running out of other basics too. capitalism and democracy have ngatives too but when you start running out of the basics, i think its high time to re-think communism.

This is kind of funny, well, in a way, not in the mean sense I mean. But I was talking to this cuban guy like 3 years ago and he mentioned that in his country it was hard to come by TP. I thought he was joking.

I'm not laughing. Toilet paper really is an unecessary luxury. Just, being brought up in the western world we have been raised to use toilet paper- and so we falsely view it as necessary.

Yeah, it's just communism and not the fact that they are an isolated, small island nation who has been sanctioned unrelentingly by the US for decades. Good job just blaming an economic system, when there are many factors. Last I heard Hatie was not communist, but they have the worst economy in the western hemisphere

TP is a luxury, but it's a near necesarry one considering whiping with leaves isn't practical in urban areas like Havana
