 Marijuana honey? NOT OIL

friend was recently gifted with a jar of marijuana honey.. like honey from bees and it tastes exactly like marijuana, i have never heard anything about this and i have yet to test if it has any psychoactive effects, but i couldn't find anything about this anywhere on the web.. does anyone know about this?

Home-made I assume?
Commercial items are often made with non-psychoactive oils, unless you live in Cali, then there may be some commercial stuff for the dispensaries.

Maybe these are bees fed on the nectar of marijuana flowers?
That's exactly what they would be!
While it is usually impossible to get bees to pollinate only one kind of flower, they will also usually choose one predominant flower (depending on the season). All it would take is a large enough crop with a few beehives nearby!
I would die for a mead made from that honey

i'm going to take a guess here (i've never made thc honey) and say this is most likely a fairly easy thing to make. i can think of two ways off the top of my head thay should work. first and easiest would be to just add powdered hash to a bottle of honey and shake. the second would be to put on a double boiler, fill with honey and buds/short trim, cook for roughly 30 minutes and then strain out the plant matter. i would imagine honey would contain enough sugars/oils/fats to extract the THC (though i'm not entirely sure what actually makes up honey). THC extractions are WAY more simple than people make them out to be. simply take a non water based liquid, soak product, strain, VIOLA.

It also doesn't have any fats or oils in it...so nothing to extract the THC with!

not to be argumentative but it's thick so it has to contain some kind of sugars/oils/fats. there may be water in it but it's obviously MUCH thicker than water which would lead one to conclude there are also high concentrations of sugars/oils/fats. also, like i said, i'm no expert when it comes to honey specifically so i'm just going on pure assumptions here.

Well most of it is sugars...there's some amino acids, minerals, and a few proteins in there too.
But no oils or fats!

I would make it the same way any other kind of honey gets made...by bees and a large field of pot nearby!
There are many "flavours" of honey...not just the grocery store processed crap - usually clover honey. I had a really nice blueberry honey a little while ago!

They have some gourmet ones from many different flowers at the health food store around here. Would love to try a cannabis one.

now this is probably going to go against what most of you guys have been saying.. but i just had some tea with the cannihoney and i actually did get high  im pretty puzzled on how they made this but he has a 16oz jar

i was fairly sure he didn't just mean honey that tasted like pot (that's just silly). i have heard of numerous instances where people had THC honey. it's pretty obvious now that he meant actual THC honey...SO, if you doubt the method i recommended, please share what you believe to be a more effective method for getting THC into honey (not just weed flavored honey).

If the bee's will work cannabis flower.(I don't thank they can)..Some flowers, bees just wont work....

i would guess the only real way to do this, if you can't use honey as a solvent, would be to mix bubble (or any form of hash that can be ground to powder) and mix with honey.
