The only reason you ever get 'random bruising' is because of a low blood cell count aka you are currently anemic, and apparently it is happening around that area of your body currently shown by bruising. There are MANY reasons this could be happening though otherwise, not trying to scare you but it can sometimes be the onset of some diseases like leukemia.

You really, really should go see a doctor as I am not one but know enough about medical care to safely say you could be on the verge of death without proper care.

Edit: and also, how long have they been appearing for? If it's been for a long period of time, you probably are just anemic, which isn't really bad but not exactly deadly lol, and if a massive amount of bruising appeared over a short period of time - go see a doctor.

Capillaries can burst for other reasons causing the same exact appearance, how can you possibly say its from anemia?

While yes, anemia is possible, so is infection, heavy metal poisoning, etc.

Infections don't cause "bruising" rather a different type of bruising. Anemia basically just means you have a low blood cell count and can range from low, moderate and severe. If you have random bruising for no reason, it is MOST LIKELY a low blood cell count. If it's not actually "bruising" but rather a different bruise, then no, it's probably not anemia and I apologize for what was probably a wrong diagnosis because of the color of the bruises he said 2 posts after what I said.

There's clinics that'll hook you up really cheap and/or free. If you're in the US then this link will help;

you can give yourself a quick anemia check by squeezing your fingertips, if underneath your fingernail turns white and takes a while to get it's color back, you might be anemic

called capillary refill, and shows absolutely nothing except the rate of perfusion

I said MIGHT...and if your finger turns white and stays that way, you probably have low iron, which is common in anemics

I take that back, it does show other things like possible cyanosis (and if you have patches of cyanosis you have a whole other set of problems), but for all practical purposes it shows rate of perfusion.  We in the EMT field use them to check the blood flow of kids under 6 or so since getting a blood pressure is a bitch and isn't very accurate for diagnosing

Not really, if it stays white is more of a sign of blood flow, now what keeps the blood flow screwwed up is more likely to be a cardiac issue.  Which, the bruising could be.

well one thing odd is, on my finger i have a red dot and red spot under fingernail.

it is always like this tho, if i squeeze it it turns white, that is just how that one finger is

always has been that way i think.
i squeezed it and that spot is turning back to red at a slower pace than usual.

If it is longer than two seconds that's a sign of poor perfusion. Have someone else time it so you don't psych yourself out.

I wasn't trying to give any kind of diagnosis, not by any means.

Saying anemia when you have poor perfusion sure sounds like a diagnosis

That's only moderate blood flow issues.  I'll ask what we call a simple sample/opqrst.  If you could answer in this order it'd be great

whats the problem?

any allergies?

Any medication?  Recreational substances in the past 3 days?  Over the counter and cigarettes count

anything make your symptoms better?

Whend you last eat

any events leading up to your sickness?

When did it start

any relevant past medical history?

what does it feel like?  Itchy?  Numb?  Stabbing pain?

Does it radiate to anywhere?

On a scale of 1-10 whats it feel like?

Damn it, i was trying to quote you but you deleted it :crankey:

Sorry if I'm being a little disagreeable, it's just i've been doing this shit for the past few days nonstop.  Had to work the weekend shift and I'm a lil testy.  But, no.  If someone hasn't eaten in a few hours and they feel weird as long as they don't have a history of blood sugar issues I'd probably assume it was something else - like why they haven't eaten in that time.

it was just a random example... but :seriousbusiness: and :drgonz:...I was not even remotely trying to make a diagnosis, I'm sorry it came across that way, that's my fault...and it had little to do with the problem of the OP. It's always good to consider many different things just in general...there's nothing wrong with that. I'll just keep my trap shut now thank you

It's only serious business when it's someones health.  And yes, I am taking numerous things into account and I hope the OP is too.
