most of these species require alot of work to control some of them even require micro organisms and certain bacteria to thrive...

it is posible to colonize jars with cyanescen tho they will not fruit from thecake itself you would have to spawn it to a bulk substrate im assuming straw and poo or something like that.. i think the same holds true with azursens

It doesn't grow in the same habitat.  Don't confuse Panaeolus cyanescens with Psilocybe cyanescens.  The former is a tropical species, the latter a temperate one.

You can grow the mycelium from your list on rye berries and then spawn it to an Alder woodchip bed in the spring.  Plant it in the shade, but with partial sun for at least part of the day. They like companion planting with landscape shrubs, especially Rhododendron.  They'll begin fruiting in the fall rainy season once there's been a near-frost.

August is ending, Fall aint far, maybe i can be 8 steps ahead before fall.
i'll need rye berries, put them in a jar and pressure cook or big pot
once colonized transfer to wood chips,
plant the colonized rye berries transfered to the chips outside
like that? adn TADA! hopefully psy cyan will grow with glee!

Don't link to non-vendor websites, especially ET.  They have ripped off hundreds of our members over the years.

If you guys see a non vendor link, please don't quote that post.  Doing so multiplies the link.  When Google indexes our site, it sees those links to ET and bumps them up in search listings.  Their algorithm counts link popularity as the number one ranking feature.

Growing azures is nothing like growing cubes.  Grow cubes for a year or two to get your feet wet before jumping into azures.  Even if you live in the right climate, you have to plan ahead, have your spawn ready at last frost in the spring, prepare your woodchip beds, and get it inoculated before the end of May or they won't have time to colonize and fruit before fall.  You'll want to start from spores in January or February to get the project done by the following fall.

I went from MS > Agar > Qt WBS > wood chip bags > outdoor bed (total time aprox 9 months)

Every year before the snow comes lets say early Dec I throw down some new chips on the pile and once again in the spring.

Hope this helps.

Az came with much experience and much failure.

Learn the basics and then move up to some more advanced things.

Best of luck to you

did the two have a comparable difference and simularity cubes vs the az in experience eating wise,  was one more sleepy, was one more visual, what were the differences between this az and the cubes having taking the two?

RR WROTE

You can grow the mycelium from your list on rye berries and then spawn it to an Alder woodchip bed in the spring.  Plant it in the shade, but with partial sun for at least part of the day. They like companion planting with landscape shrubs, especially Rhododendron.  They'll begin fruiting in the fall rainy season once there's been a near-frost.

if  trying to grow psilo cyane and psilo azur, does it work like this?
so then after reading that i hope i say this right, take rye seeds in jars, tin foil, put in a pot steam them over the lids, then knock up with psilo. azur the other jars with psilo cy. once colonized white and complete break it up over alder woodchips in the spring plant it in the OREGON shade though with partial sunfor are least a day.  they like rhododendron and are companionship dependent and will fruit in the fall rainy season (your talking about the psilo az and psilo cy im talking about?) once near frost.

is that right?  ^ up there did i translate that right? did i get it right?

i'd love to know if thats right
respect

yes you you will want to bring some wood chips to field capacity and pasturize i believe then use your colonized rye berries to spawn to those then incubate then move the woodchips to your chosen grow area definatley keep it moist too your doing good im learning with you

you hydrate the berries then pressure cook

hydrating is a process of soaking and simmering when u are done u should be able to set them on a paper towel and not leave a wet spot then into the jars and pressure cook

no no theres no soaking for pftek that soaking and simmering is just for grains rye, wbs ect.. in the pf tek jars the moisture is mixed right in and the flour allows it to be absorbed much better than whole grains

what u will do is
1. rinse your rye berries off really wel on strainer
2. soak ryeberies in container of water for up to 24 hours.
3. boil the rye berries until u see just a few burst open (not more than 5% burst grains)
4. drain rberries until they are just dry enough to leave little to no wet spot on paper towel (dryer is better than wetter)
5.load ryeberries into your quart jars.
6.cover lids with foil and PC @ 15 psi for 90 mins
7.let them cool off in pc overnight
8.inoculate with said syringe
9.store jars in dark safe place.
10. wait

cambos just happen to be the largest pan i could find

It doesn't grow in the same habitat.  Don't confuse Panaeolus cyanescens with Psilocybe cyanescens.  The former is a tropical species, the latter a temperate one.

You can grow the mycelium from your list on rye berries and then spawn it to an Alder woodchip bed in the spring.  Plant it in the shade, but with partial sun for at least part of the day. They like companion planting with landscape shrubs, especially Rhododendron.  They'll begin fruiting in the fall rainy season once there's been a near-frost.
