New here with a few questions.

i have the rr video ,it's really good and educational.

1. Do I used distilled water to spray the casing layer on the cakes or do I use normal water.

2. When we did a few jars the first time we did not put tape on overthe
holes on the lids before sterilization, we only taped them after
inoculation, we did use tin foil to cover the lids. 3 out of 8 had
trichoma infections. The second time we taped them before
sterilization , inoculated through the tape with syringe, and tapea
2nd layer over that. 0 of them were infected that time. can the
mircopore tape get stuck in the syringe and cause problems? it felt
like it did or i had an air bubble. I was able to push it out
whatever it was.

3. For drying oysters, what would be the optimal temp and humidity for
that room or space?

4. Are there any threads about straw logs here? If so please direct me
that way.

1.) As long as your tap water isn't horrible, just use that

2.) I doubt you'd get micropore tape inside the needle of your syringe; it's going to rip right through that.
