Newbie Question
    #1085814 - 11/25/02 11:40 PM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Is the temperature inside a terrarium different from the temperature of the room the terrarium is in, or is it about the same?

It depends upon what you are using for a terrarium, if its a rubbermaid, then yes the temp is the same.

Then unless you are heating it or you have ice packs in there, it will be the same temp as the room.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

If the tank has a good fitting top thats semi air tight, and the tank itself has no heat source like a tank heater or a light, the temps should equilize. If the room temp. drops suddenly the temp in the tank will take a while to adjust. Also factor in hot and cold spots in any room. This time of year in my area it's cold out. The temp at and below my windows a few inches is 5-10 degrees F colder than a foot from the window. Best thing to do is go to a pet store that sells fish and get one of those stick on thermometers and put it right on the tank.

Hope this helps some..
