I read somewhere that psilocybin has antiviral properties along with other healing ones. Is this true?

I haven't had much ability to check outside of that thread for more detailed information as limited work seems to have been done due to it being illegal.

I think it's also a big thing about Mind over Matter as well. Not to drop science and go all super natural on you guys. But feelings of overall well-being might trigger your body to react in a similar way.

Well laughter is really good for your bodies over-all stress levels and can cure many different problems, and shrooms definitely make you laugh lots, sooo maybe it's connected to that?

This is from issue 5(Dec 06) of Treating Yourself , medical marijuana magazine published in canada.

I will try to post the entire article. I will have to copy it from the magazine. This may take a couple days , it is 11 pages long and I am just new here but I will do it. The article is split into 3 parts.

mind over matter. ingesting mushrooms makes you aware of your body functions, i feel i have more control of my body and how it functions while even on low doses of mushrooms.  Ive had an incident were i took around 3.6g and went canoeing down some river, turns out it was rocky and rough... we flipped i ripped open 50% of my big toenail and instantly pushed it back down to my skin. seconds later i decided to rip it off while the adrenalin was still rushing from the cold dip however no matter how hard i tried i couldn't pull it back up from the raw flesh TRUE i was tripping but i believe with the sand and water and torture i put my toe through it wouldn't have healed so fast normally.

Serotonin, of which psilocybin is analog, is not simply "a neurotransmitter" but affects all cells of the body, including immune cells and especially macrophages. It's anti-whatever effect is via activation and stimulation of the immune system rather than "killing" a particular pathogen.

There was a thread on psychedelic experience with a guy raving that shrooms cured a nasty herpes outbreak, but some people prefer to masquerade their lack of knowledge under a mask of rationality.  Because they cannot explain how it is possible, they say it's all in your head.

When I'm on mushrooms any mucous that I have (i've done them while sinus sick) becomes loose and I tend to be hacking it up for a while. Feels good
