Florida reishi?

Habitat:
on both dead and living cabbage palms in swampy habitat alongside Myakka River.

Cap: dull red, about five inches across

Yes, probably a ganoderma species. Quite an aged specimen.

I found those same things before.I asked before what they where and no one said anything.Now I know.I was told this is Reishi.These where found in the ground next to a tree.

The first one is g. applanatum, the artist's conk. The second one is reishi.

I use ground reishi mixed in with my teas a good bit, its a great mushroom for overall health-it does everything and a little honey added with it negates it's bite.
