Malfunctioning electronics/computers while tripping?

Once, when my girlfriend and I were tripping, we had music playing in my bedroom loud enough to hear throughout the entire house.  We had dosed around 2.5 g a piece, ground to powder and mixed with grapefruit juice and ice in a slushy.  As we began to come up (rapidly), we decided that the music we had on wasn't making for a smooth transition.  I forget what it was, but that is beside the point.

Anyway, we both went into my room to my laptop (through which the music was playing) to change the music.  At this point, we were both giggling out of control.  For about five minutes (I guess), we sat in front of the lap top just laughing at our inability use the computer or even understand how it was supposed to work.  Like I said, we had come up extremely fast.  The screen looked as if it were made of liquid and the concept of icons or programs didn't really make sense.

The only thing I could think was "This doesn't even make any sense," and I think I mentioned this out loud, which made us laugh even harder.  Then as we both bent over the keyboard in laughter in uncontrollable, tear-inducing laughter, my computer screen turned completely blue and gave off an uncomfortably loud high pitch tone.

As a reaction, I sobered up just enough to tear the power cord out of the back and removed the battery to end the noise.

We forgot about the computer and music at this point, and just enjoyed the rest of the trip with another couple who was in the other room.

Later, after the peak had subsided and we were in the music mood again, I rebooted my computer and it started with no problems.  Nothing like this has ever happened to my computer before or since, and it still works fine (I'm on it right now).

I didn't think about it too much until the days after, but what seemed like a strange set of coincidences has intrigued me ever since it happened two years ago.  I was just wondering if anyone had ever experienced any kind of malfunctions in electronics when trying to operate them under the influence of mushrooms, or for that matter any other psychedelic.

I've mostly chalked it up to coincidence, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Been there man, I have my computer wired up to my TV so I can watch movies from my computer on the TV, and I was peaking once and I tried to turn a movie on and something (i forget) was actually wrong with the connection and it just bugged the hell out of me and I never figured it out, turned it off after throwing my mouse at the wall in frustration and it worked fine the next day.

I had a strange trip once. It was a solo trip and I was trying to document my thoughts. Writing was way to slow, so I decided to dictate into my phone recorder. I distinctly remember watching it record.

After an hour of "in-depth non-sense"  I stopped it, and saved.


The next day....there was NO recording. I would love to hear that trip back

Electronics on psychedlics are my pet peeve, but I can get lost in a laptop:shrug:

Lucid dreamers willfully induce deep trances and say one way to remember what you were doing is to look at a watch, because they expect it to malfunction every time.

They call this critical state testing or looking for dream signs.

I call it frustrating.

Writing, knobs, dials, recipes, sequences, etc. tend to get messed up for me.

For some reason, I remember Beavis and Butthead digging a swimming pool. Tom Anderson says it's best to tell people what he wants done, and not how to do it.

So far as I can tell, I should give my subconscious mind a goal, without telling it how to reach that goal.

Any attempts at exploration become a distracting ordeal of exploring for it's own sake, until I realize that I'm thoroughly lost.

If I want to learn how something works, I end up investigating, continuously, and without end.

If I say where I want to be, my mind works out the best route.

I couldn't connect to the internet one time at my friend's house while tripping on mushrooms, it was the only time it wouldn't connect, I was so frustrated.

i can get caught up in jiggling the mouse, and end up taking 10 minutes to try and start up a premade playlist.

I've never had a problem with electronics malfunctioning whilst tripping, nor have I ever had much of a problem operating them.

phones are bad for me i just hear static no voices at all. it freakes me out sometimes idk why it happnes

IMHO, the creative side of your brain doesn't respond well to logic. It doesn't work that way.

my computer restarts every 5-10 minutes by itself whenever we smoke MAOI before a trip, or just trip really hard

i usually have to turn off most electronics (besides all the led cristmas lights :vaped:) because they make wierd noises and flicker & buzz when all 4-5 of us trip

my friends hate trying to control a record player or tv while under the influence.

Ipod on shuffle is the way to go and long ass nature documentaries or something on the tv so no one needs to try to function any buttons. for those times you want to sit..we prefer outside by fires. 

we sat for an hour trying to figure out how to use a remote control for the cd player, until they just gave up..

its funny atleast on shrooms how smart and intellectual you feel yet at the same time you're like a caveman that cant control any of the technology were so used to.
