metal cabinet grow box

i found this metal cabinet on the curb that has 2 chambers and a drawer which i think would be perfect for shrooms but its a little rusty not much but a bit, mostly on the bottom where I'm planing to use as a fruiting chamber. I'm cleaning it with bleach and water would this work ok? dose rust have contaminants in it?  I'm planing on using the top for jars the middle drawer for supplies and the bottom for fruiting will this be OK or too contaminant prone

As long as they are separate youll be fine.  Clean the rust up with some steel wool then a mild bleach solution.  maybe use some rustoleum (sp).  then maybe throw some caulk in the corners, or just do it however you want.

yea...you could keep there jars on a shelf at room temp and theyll be fine.

is rust really bad tho cause theres a few hard to reach parts with rust

You could paint the inside of the grow chamber to prevent future rust after you clean it up

thats actually a pritty good idea ill probably do that sand or CLR the most of the rust and spray paint it after it dries
