Compost advice

Anybody got any good advice for someone wanting to try compost for the first time?? As in formulas to make some kick ass compost that's high in nutrients?? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Premium wheat straw, aged dry horse & cow manure, micro/brewery grain, vegetable & fruit produce (spoils & refuse) are the bulk of the primary organic components of the best compost I managed to make. Shredding it in a chipper shredder before composting & screening it after it is finished, gives it a great consistency. Here is a pic of the end result, after it was partially dehydrated. That is a tiny sewing pin, not a 16 penny nail. LOL................6T

Cool links. Who's the author of the compost tek? I've heard that P(phosphorous) is important to the mushies. So maybe adding bonemeal to thecompost recipe would be 'a good thing.'
Can anoyone explain why there would be two different 'endings' for phase 2? Why not just maintain 126-130 for 4-5 days and then drop it to 75-80?
