Heat on jars

its been cold around here, I am worried my jars arent colonizing well enough, they have started. Anyways I was wondering if its ok to use a natural sunlight light bulb on them to warm them up slightly, nothing above 90.

How should I keep the cakes moist in the jars? spray a small bit of water or let them be?.

I will be eyeing the jars and the temps. Just wondering which method I should do for warming the jars up, its been like 60 in doors for a day or two, I know the jars are cold and arent really growing much.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I have asked some stupid shit so far.

they must at least be regular room temperature, they also don't respond to light, when it's cold the mycellium thinks it is winter and won't produce so warm up the damn place.:rolleyes:

also to keep moist, the substrate is suppose to be moist, leave it be tho! it could get contaminated with open air and will destroy your mycellium.

NOTHING ABOVE 80!  90 IS VERY BAD!

dont open your jars (very bad, will get contams) they will stay moist enough for a few weeks, Ive had jars take 2mths b4, let them be and try to keep temps between 70-80 and all will be fine.  things go slower in cooler temps it doesnt mean your jars are messed up.  leave'em alone.:thumbup:

nothing def above 90

its been down in the 70s here, and about 60 at night. I just thought it was too cold, I shall leave them be.

I just took a temp of the grow box, its been 70 to 73 inside, so its fine...just let them grow!.
