Glenn Pot Bust Turns Up 15,000 Plants

A major pot bust in Glenn County destroys more than 15,000 marijuana plants.  Investigators estimate the street value of the marijuana plants at more than $62 million dollars.  The Sheriff's Marijuana Eradication Team seized the plants that were growing in the Mendocino National Forest south of Elk Creek on Ponderosa Way.

Investigators describe it as a very significant seizure of high yield marijuana plants and say the illegal grow was larger than they expected.  Large areas of public land had been clear cut by the growers and the planting areas were watered by an elaborate web of drip lines fed from four different springs.

It appears two camps with three sleeping areas had been hastily abandoned.  The Glenn County Sheriff's Office asks anyone in the Elk Creek area to report strangers on foot.

you would think they would have learned by now after seeing bust after bust after bust on the news of outdoor grows in california..

Well considering how fuckin easy it is to get pot I think a good number of these go til completion. Remember you only hear about the ones that get busted.
