weed + coffee

A couple weeks ago I wrote a thread "why do people worship weed", and got a couple recommendations to combine weed and coffee...So this morning I took a nice milky puff out of my pipe and walked with my girl to the local starbucks. Ordered 3 vanilla scones and a grande americano on ice, to total $4.20 including tax. Coincidence, or destiny?

Walked back home and still drinking.

little known fact: coffee takes 30 to 45 minutes for real physiological effects to occur. your guts simply can't absorb the caffeine any faster than that. people who drink half a mug and immediately perk up "ah that feels better!" confuse the shit out of me.

Yeah, but it's the same as when I've gone a few days without a drink and take a sip of a beer or whatever. Instant gratification. It's a psychological thing obviously.

I've even put some ground up nugs in with my coffee beans, ground, put it in the filter, ran it, and drank the mixture. Like a weak speed ball or something. Either way Coffee and Bong Hits are a combination that has stood the test of time. Love that sheet. Another fun mixture is to take equal amounts of ganja to ground coffee beans (1/4 oz to 1/4 oz), put in a 1/2 gal jar with everclear and freeze/thaw/shake repeat for a couple of months once per week. At the end, strain, drink and one shot will fuck you up! But no sleepy feeling. BE CAREFUL with this one. Easily overdone... fun stuff.

Yeah, it makes sense in terms of psychological addiction ... but not for waking you up.
I'm caffeine-dependent right now (much to my chagrin) and I admit that even just smelling coffee gives me some mental relief, but anyone who pays attention when using caffeine should be able to notice that it doesn't actually DO anything for quite a while.

if you want to take the combo a step further,
piracetam makes caffeine euphoric(for me, at least)
piracetam + coffee + weed = pure bliss


so cheap too, piracetam is like $20 for 500g,
and you can get 100g of pure caffeine for $7
which will last forever

I never knew that.  I am one of those people.  Maybe it's a placebo effect, but also my system is really, really sensitive to stimulants.

Your body/brain knows what is going to happen from years of Pavlovian conditioning.  They probably do feel the effects before the caffeine actually "hits" them.  It's just how humans work.  :shrug:

I like tea instead of coffee, but if I want to "speed on weed" I'll drink a monster or red bull or something.  Really shocks the system.

I bet Yerba Mate would go really well with cannabis.  If you drink a large mug (or several) of Mate, you're getting a lot of caffeine, and it has extremely healthy antioxidants in it as well.  It's also delicious and conducive to conversation and contemplation.

Usually my stomach and digestive system, in addition to my nervous system, become very aroused on weed, and imbibing unhealthy food or drinks has a negative affect on my mind-state and body comfort.  I consider coffee one of those drinks that I would probably not want to mix with cannabis; at the right dose it is wholesome, but the way I usually drink it (2 tall mugs of potent black coffee) probably is not too healthy for the nerves (or body alkalinity).  And the coffee crash magnified by cannabis would be pretty abysmal.

I'm reporting what was told to me in Psych 340, Behavioral Effects of Psychoactive Drugs. If it's true that someone can feel their coffee in 5 minutes, I can only imagine that they must have an exceptionally low tolerance.

I LOVE THAT!!!!!!!

Weed is soo friendly with caffeine right when you wake up.
I just grab a joint off the dresser, spark it up, stumble to the coffee maker and 10 minutes later feel fan-fuckin-tastic!
