First Salvia Experience
    #10815887 - 08/07/09 02:40 AM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Interesting and uncomfortable salvia trip that did not seem enlightening :frown:
Please contribute to what you think the meaning of this trip is (if any) or leave comments.

I took two good hits of 10x extract and held it in...

I felt as if every heart beat was glitching my mind/body and time. Then I was being pulled in some sort of way and pushed down into my seat. With my eyes closed I saw static and an object infront of it that I was unsure of (difficult to precieve these visuals). I thought I fell into a different world that was peaceful and chaotic; some sort of network or system. Then I felt my mind/body split into two (I was laughing at this point for some reason). After this I thought I was in a laboratory and that I was being stretched by a group of unidentified beings who might have been laughing (all of this was more of a feeling than visual) Then I thought my neck was being tangled and it was hard to breath. I am not sure what happened after this. I came down and my thought process was slow and I saw pixels and eyes clouding my vision. Very interesting.....

sounds about right

I actually mean that with all seriousness... all my salvia trips (100+) are very similar, especially the being pushed the couch and split in two... the rest is usually a little personal, but it sounds like you had a breakthrough...

I thought it would be much more enlightening than this. Do you think there is any meaning behind this trip?

I've never consider salvia enlightening (as mushies for example) but that doesn't mean it wont help u find new things about your mind. I've smoked twice, the first time was just weird and the second time.. it was like somebody grabed me and just pulled me down to the sofa and although i smoked a tiny amount it was still pretty fucked in a good kinda way.

it might be more enlightening than the first glimpse would have you believe... it has taken me a long time to find any meaning from salvia, and I couldn't hope to explain the meaning I have found... it's a really fuckin bizarre alien experience I know.. yet totally familiar while you're there, even more familiar than here(?)

It's the most mysterious psychedelic I've come across so far... like I said, it took me awhile to find any meaning from it... but I did... just very alien and all too familiar(?)

at the risk of sounding too pseudo-shamanic.... you may have to form a relationship with it before you get the jewel.

imagine trying to teach someone what infinity is when they can only count to ten

Yea the trip did seem fimiliar in some sort of way. Like the new dimension I was in has always been my home. It looks like I will have to explore salvia more to find true meaning.

I have found it very hard to describe my experiences with salvia, it's almost like my brain can't comprehend anything and I don't understand anything.

yeah, it feels more familiar than reality
like part of your brain lives there all the time and you just dont know it

my favorite thing about salvia is how it synchronizes to what you hear,
for example when it was raining out once every drop off the gutter caused movement
in the visuals. and when I was listening to music it went to the beat PERFECTLY.

Hell yeah.

If music is playing when I smoke it (usually, unless I'm in the woods),

I get so amazed that the artist produced something so hip and empathetic to my current circumstance.

It sounds as if the music was meant to be heard on Salvia, which is just not true.

Salvia seems to expose hidden messages within languages of all sorts, including music, and even languages not of this world.

I have spoken in tongues on Salvia comedowns.

The crazier ones that actually scare me usually give me the biggest kicks later when I reflect on them,

unless I zone out into the Space Goop and forget what happened.

While I don't feel that there are direct meanings behind the nuances of the Salvia experience,

I am gratefully humbled by each experience.

I may even owe my life to my first Salvia experience.

I thought I was tired of life until I ran into this clever little drug that tricked me into thinking I had actually lost it.

Yea it is very interesting...
The trip synced to my heart beats. Every heart beat would cause the trip and my body to freeze, which was probably why it was so difficult to percieve the experience.

I had my first exprience last night as well. Similar things - felt like all the molecules in my body were being pushed/pulled in opposite directions. I thought I was going to explode. Then I zoned out into my head where I could here a woman's voice inviting me further in. I didn't want to go with her (in retrospect I probably should have rolled with it) so then she tried to return to me different parts of what I assume to be my consciousness. These came in no particular order and as each one came back one of my senses etc would switch back on and I'd be a bit more aware of reality.

Weird trip. As everyone has said - it is uncomfortable and not entirely enlightening. But maybe I just need to give it more time and let myself go with it. I should really go in with no expectations and no fear next time

Don't be scared.. just embrace that wisdom that salvia holds in her compounds.
