Cold temps absolutely necessary in dunking?
    #1081265 - 11/24/02 08:54 AM (14 years, 13 days ago)

Are cold temperatures absolutely necessary while dunking? I've been living by the dunk tek (EVERYONE should), and realized I've been foolish putting these cakes in the fridge, considering my living situation.  :smirk:

I can't bring myself to NOT dunk, so..  *repeats question*

as far as i know it's only necessary for some strains to cold shock them in order to trigger pinning but i dont think it could do any harm. I've dunked without cold shocking (b+ and eq) and had okay results

Well, if they're pinning alright, and I just want to revitalize them, then I wouldn't think it'd be necessary..
