Pressure Cooker capacity

I'll be growing for my first time in a few weeks . . . I am looking at getting a pressure cooker to make sure that I will be as sterile as possible. My question is how big of a PC do you need to buy? I am looking at a 6qt model . . . how many 1/2 pint jars will this hold? I am looking to buy on e-Bay so it's a bit hard to judge the size and how many jars will fit. Even if you don't know how many jars will fit in a 6qt, could you please post the size of your PC and how many jars it will hold? Thank you, your help is very much appreciated as I really don't want to spend money on a PC only to find that it holds 2 jars.
Edit -- I've been wondering about the "double-ended PF jar tek" ( http://mycotopia.yage.net/teks/invitrocase.html ). Has anyone tried this, and if so do you think it's worth the extra verm? (I'm sorry for posting this under the completely wrong thread, maybe I should have started a new one. If this is bad, and I shouldn't do it again, yell at me and I won' t do it again.)

Dude, if you are gonna spend the money, you might as well get a BIG one, bigger than six quarts. The 6 qt one will be fine for 1/2 pint BRF cakes, but what happens when you want to move on to quart jars for grain?

Yeah, I had thought of that, I had just planned on taking the loss and chaulking it up to experimentation. I don't know, I probably should just boil them, it's just that I'm really worried the jars will be full of contams when I come back from break (I'm preparing them the day before my Christmas Break and leaving them under my bed for 3 weeks). I thought that a small and inexpensive PC would alleviate my worries. It's really not going to be too expensive, it's going to be $20 with shipping. Thank you for the replies though, I may just buy the monster now so that I have it in the future.

Good idea guys. I found a much larger canner for $40 plus $10 shipping. So not too bad. It's 17qt, and I think it's supposed to hold 24 half-pints, so that's much more economical. Thank you for saying something so obvious that I was ruling out for stupid reasons.

My 4 qt mirro holds 6 half pint wide mouths stacked, or 3 pints. I can't hold any 1 qt jars so I bought these pyrex glass bowls with rubber lids, and 1 of those fits perfectly. I'm also trying oven bags.It was $25 at walmart, but I wish would have gotten a bigger one. It still gets the job done, but when I need to a bunch of stuff, I'm there like all fuckin day, just waiting for it to cool off.
