35 gallon does not tell us the dimensions of the tub!
How big is the "bag of hpoo"

That is rather big for 10 cakes.

Sorry, I haven't done cakes in a while so I can't visualize how much in inches cakes would amount to in a trey or tub that big. Personally, cakes are meant to be fruited as cakes. If you are gonna spawn or do anything else, go with grains IMO.

Already pointed out is you have to consolidate your values, i.e. we can't help you if you say 35 gallons or 1/4 bag of hpoo. Maybe if it were a brick of coir there's enough user experience that people already know roughly what it'll hydrate to, for 1/4 bag of hpoo I would find a way to get quart values i.e. putting it in a qt jar measuring it.
Now with that in mind you have to figure out your monotub volume capacity, which includes deciding what sub-depth for e.x. purposes I'll use 4". 27.7 quarts is the capacity with a 4" sub-depth for your 35 gallon tub. (69x38x10=26220/946.35=27.7qt)
Than comes spawn ratio, I'd say 3-1 at least if your having trouble at this stage. Which comes out to you needing 9.23 quarts of spawn (brf) and 18.46 quarts of substrate (hpoo).
And if 10x8oz brf jars comes out to 2.5 quarts (Google so useful), than your going to need more spawn, next course of action now I'd say g2g it and you'll probably need more substrate.
