perlite vs. misting

Newbie grower here. I plan on using the PF tek for my first grow and was wondering wether I should use perlite or misting for humidity. I already have invested in a clear rubbermaid container, a plexi-glass drip shield, 12 1/2 pint Kerr jars and all the other necessary items. I don't have a problem with misting 4 times a day and am slightly concerned about the possibility of contams w/ perlite. What do u peops recomend for a novice such as myself? thx.

perlite. also have an ultrasonic interfaced to the fruiting chamber to run while I have the lid off, i.e. fucking with the cakes/casings<--usually too much
