Hi
i hope you don't mind my asking, but i'm trying to find a good pc RPG to play. My laptop can handle most of what's out there now. the last gam i played was oblivion, which i really enjoyed. in the past i really enjoyed games like might and magic, wizardry etc.
i never got into the neverwinter nights style rpg's.
thanks in advance for any replies.

If you liked Oblivion then Fallout 3 might be up your alley. I actually got a bit more playtime out of Oblivion, but Fallout has a very good setting and can be very fun as well.
-------------------- The story goes, or the way that I was told There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low And so he called all the wise men to the hall And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king Engraved in black, it had no front or back But there were words around the band that said Just know: This Too Shall Pass

You could always play on private server's for free, but it kinda takes the fun out of it.

I love Dota, its a custom game for warcraft 3. Its a short fast paced RPG that takes around an hour for a 5v5 game, tons of fun, but steep learning curve.
WoW is an awesome game, but it eats your life, so only if you have tons of free time and you don't care to game all the time. It is such a good RPG.
-------------------- "A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security." Albert Einstein

If you liked oblivion, fallout 3, etc you might like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. shadows of chernobyl and STALKER clear sky (the newer one). There is also a new game called call of pripyat coming out very soon.
It isnt necessarily an rpg as far as levels, but it has a ranking system , inventory, and you can alter your stats with pickups called artifacts as well as armor. Other than that it is very similar to fallout 3 in essence (nuclear accident, wartorn locales, mutants/ghosts, survival of the fittest).
