i'm very curious if there's any reports/documentation of children's experiences with something like salvia, etc..

youtube. I'd say just about every report of salvia is from a dumb kid.

I do not know of any reports of children ingesting salvia, but I have always wondered how children of various ages and backgrounds would react to psychedelics, but I also think it is dosing children is terribly unnecessary.

In case you are interested, in the late 50s Gary Fisher gave severely autistic and schizophrenic children LSD, and his reports are interesting.

One thing I love about tripping is that it makes me have a feeling inside that I haven't had since I was a kid...a sense of wonder at the world, and magic all around me. I don't think they need it. Being a kid is sort of like tripping all the time.

Huh?

Gary Fisher was a pioneer of the grand sport of mountain biking. I thought maybe it was a coincidence but I can't find any of these reports off google, only MTB info.

You sure that's correct?

Immediate edit: Oh, adding LSD into the search bar proves you are indeed correct. Interesting stuff indeed.

yes, yes, yes! thank you, ive been saying this for years, and about pot too its probably my favourite part of tripping, the feeling of inocense, awe, wonder, and the idea that i dont know everything about the world around me. i cant wait to have kids i want to trip with them, i wont give them drugs, but ill be tripping and go hiking with them or something like that, i feel like we would mentally be in similar places.

I definitely feel like a child again when tripping. Everything is new, you can laugh at nothing, everything is so pure. When we trip we see things the true way, without any prejudice or social filters and stuff like that. When you're little I don't think there's been enough time for those to have been built up yet either.

I think children wouldn't be as prone to fear or anxiety. Their brains are constantly receiving new information, so they'll probably take it for what it is.

i ate a TON of shrooms when i was 12 and all the years after that up until about 17 or 18, does that count?  tripping is more like being thrust into a fairytale land at that age, not much deep insights or anything like that ime.

I agree. I was a teen for my first trips and the combination of being at an age where you have no responsibilities and the reemergence of complete innocence makes for an amazing experience. My first acid trip, I was a ball of pure positivity for 8 hours.

With psychedelics, I've always found that less is more.

It was a good read, and it helped some of the children yes. But they discredit his research because he never followed up with the children years later after research with LSD was banned. Nobody knows what ever happened with these children who were helped. But yeah, some of the stories of those kids were remarkable. I have it at home, but I'm at work otherwise I would upload it.

Re: children on psychedelics [Re: Dr. P. Silocybin]

In one of those Pinchbeck books, he speaks about Shamanic cultures in the Amazon giving ayahuasca to children.  He goes on to say that the ayahuasca teaches the children...that knowledge is their education.

I'm sorry I don't have any other information except something from a Daniel Pinchbeck book...but hopefully this will spark someones memory and they can better help you with your question.

thanks for that report, is that doctor still alive?

my reason for the question is due to the familiar feeling i experience when on mushrooms or salvia.. it feels like i go somewhere i've already been before, as if it is something that was very ordinary in early childhood or before childhood that i've forgotten over the years
