Fedor signs with Strikeforce

Obviously kind of mixed feelings about this.


I had already accepted long ago that Fedor was never going to sign with the UFC, so it wasn't even really anything to mope about anymore.



And in many ways, I'm happy to see him stand up against the UFC.  he's the only one who still has the guts to mention the UFC's poor fighter treatment not to mention the constraints and burden of the exclusive-contest clause.


It's the reason why Randy Couture was stripped of all contractual freedoms...fighters like BJ Penn, Tito Ortiz, Frank Shamrock, Jens Pulver, i can go on and on and list the numerous fighters whove basically either given way to the controlls of the UFC contract, or have been screwed over by UFC policies to begin with.


I'm GLAD fedor didn't sign with the UFC...because despite what all these idiots are saying, he has nothing left to prove.

What does beating Brock Lesnar do to the legacy of Fedor?  Nothing that anihilating Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski didn't do.




Despite the UFC's constant attempts at building up hype behind their fighters (they had everyone thinking Gabrial Gonzaga would beat Fedor), Brock Lesnar really doesn't offer anything that Fedor hasn't already seen.

And quite frankly, there really isn't any heavyweight in the world whose really worthy and competent enough for a fight with Fedor.


There will always be another fighter coming up in the rankings saying the same old shit


"Oh if Fedor doesn't fight me...then he hasn't cemented his legacy"


"Fedor hasn't beaten anyone like Tim Sylvia.  THe true UFC champ will challenge his reign"


"Fedor hasn't beaten anyone like Andrei Arlovski.  This guy will really give him a run for his money"


Fedor:  "I have been in this business long enough to know that the UFC declares many things which aren't necessarily true"



Where's that article about Dana White promising all the nooby fans Fedor would be in the UFC?

its just funny cause most people watching mma wont care or notice that m1 is co promoting with strikeforce, they will still know it as strikeforce.

its like if you went to mcdonalds, got a drink, and there was a tiny walmart logo or something

no one cares.



but i suppose its a big name for strikeforce to get on its roster.

They tried to give Fedor a pretty solid deal but his camp is too illogical.  I don't really care if he ever comes to the UFC.  :justdontknow:
