Psilocybin Cubensis strain question.

What strains have people grown from multi spore that impressed them?  I'm asking because so far I've experimented with only 2 strains from MS: F+ and South American.

The F+ blew me out of the water they were so potent.  But the South American strain I'm growing now blows.  no visuals just barely a body high.  Now, I always hear stuff about the PE strain and how it is more potent than other cubes, how is that even possible?

suggest me a very potent strain!

I've been being told that for years now yet every strain I have different effects with.  How is it that some mushrooms give me straight visuals yet others give nothing but a buzz at a high doasge? 

Either way though south american must not be potent or something because when I took 4 grams of F+ from MS, I couldn't understand english and was having audio hallucinations and OEV's everywhere I looked.  The SA's seriously do jack shit to me it is ridiculous how bad they are.  Grew them the same way as F+ too and everything..

Each strain probably has a different % of active in it. Some more potent than others, mushrooms contain the same thing. I don't know how they would differ like that. :shrug:
I hope to be testing PE soon myself. Kinda excited to chew up 5 grams of it!

It's either in the genetics or in your growing conditions...The potency should not vary that much from the F+ to the B+ to the ThaLipaYai to the PE to the Burma etc. You shouldn't be able to take one of them and notice A HUGE difference like you are saying unless the genetics just sucked (thats why we learn to isolate) or if your growing conditions were flawed somewhere...Possibly in the substrate.

i literally have done the exact same set up for a few runs with F+ which came out with phenomenal effects.  Then I switched to SA with the same Rye berris spawned to coir/coffee/verm. cased with 50/50.  I can tell such a difference because I ate 4 grams the other day of these SA's and they are the worst shrooms I've ever taken, even befor when I was buying from dealers these suck worse lol.

btw I have an agar kit i'm trying to get into that soon :smile:

Try them again I have had this happen when I have either tripped too close together, the setting or something didn't get the trip going, I had eaten and was full, they weren't completely dry and my weight was off, I'm not sure what it was but the next time I took the same dose and tripped nuts.

i've taken them like 6 times now throughout 2 months.  friends have taken them, they love them for some damn reason lol but in my eyes, these are the least potent i've ever had over my 4 years of ingesting mushrooms.  I think I'm going to have to just grow another random strain and see what happens.

The strain can vary a little from what I have read in terms of how much psilocin or psilocybin they contain. As you probably know psilocybin is converted to psilocin in the body so depending how much of each it has it will create the illusion that the trip is coming up quicker or the trip is more mellow etc.

If you like the F+ just keep on growing. I like the ThaiLipaYai they have never let me down.

what's your set up like? what are you spawning to and such?

Will using hpoo make mushrooms more potent because of the more nutrients?

I have grown several different strains.
Everything from EQ's, GT's, Cambodians
and some of the local wild cubes.

Each batch will have varying potency's IME

every flush was worse and worse lol.  I have a mono going of the SA and i'll try this strain once more.  I have a feeling they're going to let me down once again.  It's cool though I have GT, Palenque, and like 2 other types of strains growing for some g2g's.

If you started the SA with a syringe, then you could have gotten a weak batch and just kept reproducing the same weak batch

Maybe get a new syringe of the SA and try that

Every time I do a grow I use something different. Not EVERY time but the majority of the time. Usually trays in a FC nothing fance I'm too lazy for monotubs I don't really like them. I've experimented with everything but if you are asking what I like is a pretty simple setup...Just some rye, popcorn, (like I said it changes but its always a grain), then I use the 50/50 tek with my own little adjustments. It's fast, easy, efficient, cheap, and I have used it enough to know when I'm doing something wrong. No reason to get too fancy its a god damn mushrooms. I mean if you want a nicer setup so be it nothing wrong with it I just don't have any reason for it since I grow for personal use mainly.

People debate the substrate as far as potency goes. In my experience as long as you give the mushrooms what they need(most grains will do this - the ones we grow with anyway) they will prosper to their fullest. Adding more nutrients isn't going to make your mushrooms magically get stronger unfortunately. :[ Plus horseshit isn't fun to mess with.

If you have done everything to your knowledge right and they still seem weak it's probably the genetics.

Horsepoo cakes are cool. I have never used them but seen some amazing results even though I don't use cakes much anymore. I would only order horseshit for this because I haven't done it and for no other reason.

well the mushrooms I grow LOOK amazing.

but looks are nothing to me in this hobby :frown: potency on a scale from 1-5 is a mere 1.

Indeed they do look very nice. First thing I spotted when I looked at these was how CLEAN and WHITE the stems were NO bruising or anything...A sign of a lack of actives?? Probably so. Not always a sign but in this case it seems to be.

Did they bruise much at all when you dried them and handled them?

very slight bruising, but see I've only grown this and F+ but can say the F+ definitely bruised much much more, to the point of almost looking black.  these are just having faint bluing

Yea I see some very faint bluing in one of the pictures but its nothing like you would expect to see. It's probably a good trip for some people like your friends who don't have them around like you do. You had the good stuff first so you are a spoiled brat now. You better grow some good ones and learn to isolate real quicklike so you can be happy again. :yesnod:

the more I eat the shittier I feel for the come up.  I seriously went on a hike with a friend and we each ate 40 grams wet 3 days ago, I vomited a good 5 times during the walk.  Laughing the whole time telling my buddy "Yo here it comes watch for your entertainment needs!" lol. as i vomit off the nature trail.

You seem to know a bit about agar work though.  I bought an agar supply kit from spore works but it didn't come with any instructions.  the agar is just in a jar liquified.  what do i do from here?

Like a thick liquid or a watery liquid? It should be somewhat thick. I use powder myself for storage reasons. I'm guessing it should be ready to pour and use. See if the site says anything. I don't see why they would melt the agar and then not have it mixed for you...

i like to listen to the old heads on this one.  rogerrabbit says a cube is a cube except for PE.  and IME.......he's right.  you say you can't wait to eat 5 grams of em.  lol......you'll be sorry.  i had a friend eat 4-5 grams a few weekends ago.  he ended up naked in his garage, screaming at the top of his lungs, slamming his fists into the wall, and begging his buddies and his wife to shove something up his ass.  he said it would all be better if someone would just shove something up his ass.  i've known this guy for years and he's eaten heavy doses of lsd with me before and always kept his cool.  he's also never had any homosexual tendencies before either.  we were all shocked at how bad he wanted something up his ass.
