They do really help those of us that suffer from cluster migraines (also known as the suicide headaches). There are studies going on at Harvard University on indole ring hallucinagens for this very reason.  They are the only thing I've taken that help with these nasty headache cycles

I agree it is an interesting concept.  I just wish more people would open their minds and give shrooms a chance. Science could benefit greatly...

At the beginning of spring I began experiencing weird symptoms (pain in lower abdomen, difficulty urinating, and a strange growth near my testicle)  I Know; GROSS. I was convinced I had an STD and got tested and everything came back negative, I even eventually had an ultrasound done on my lower abdomen and testicles (I was afraid I might have cancer) and told me it was a mass of blood vessels and that just some men develop this at a certain age.  They prescribed me tramadol that I became addicted to and basically told me to come back when I ran out.

I had began to form this theory around the time that I was coming up negative for all of these tests that this was all some how a manifestation of unresolved psychological issues concerning sex.  My dreams also pointed to this; often dealing with sexual infidelity and feelings of inadequacy.

I was also at the time reading about psychedelic shamanism.  I was particularly interested in the Maria Sabina interviews and one interview with a Peruvian san pedro shaman.

I have to go to work so I'll cut this waaay short.

I got some mushrooms and a trusted friend and sat down and worked it out.

The pain went away, the swelling went down, I quit the tramadol with the help of kratom and I moved on with my life.

They do heal, at least they healed my nuts.

Here is the best thread/resource on the internet I have found about the benefits of magic mushrooms, namely cubensis.

As far as I know, studies don't exist beyond those for cluster headaches, but that thread is a LONG, but enjoyable read and is pretty informative.

dmt the spirit molecule delves a little into this,

i think in the long run none of his participants had really changed anything in their lives, but short term they definitely reevaluated some things, but the feelings disapeared after a few months, decent book.

personally i've used psychedelics because I was sick and they didn't help shit, and probably made things worse :shrug:

i think its similar tho how a knife could be used to heal or other things music can be healing it all depends on how its used and whos using it

Most the time when people are referring to "healing" with psychedelics, they are speaking in a spiritual sense. Healing with such tools is in a realm beyond Western medicine.

I'm sure you've heard about the JOHN HOPKINS Study using mushrooms.

well all physical illness are a result of spiritual illness so saying its just in a spiritual sense in redundant no offense. its the fundamental principle of full out healing and spiritual evolution. back pains are deffinatly one of the easiest things to heal cause they are a direct message of what chakra is blocked

That's definitely your personal experience I think. I've saved friends from opiate addiction, brought my self out of depression, saved friends from depression, become more spiritual, friends have experienced the same thing. Psychedelics are incredibly healing for me in my experience, they're incredibly powerful tools.

This idea can be supported by the Bible.

Healing is important while we live. For sure. But it is almost important that we are cleansed. You almost cannot have one without the other. And when we are to meet our God, how shall we be clean, as He is?
